CD28 just got more crowded
CD28 is the current seat held by DINO Henry Cuellar. Ciro Rodriguez who formally held the seat in 02 has already filed for his old seat. And now we can add Victor Morales to the mix. Richard Raymond dropped out of this race to run for his Texas House seat.

Campaign Notebook: Morales, of pickup campaign, tries again
Saying he's a realist who can live with whatever South Texas voters decide, Crandall schoolteacher Victor Morales confirmed Monday that he will make a fourth bid for Congress, in House District 28.

Morales, who first made headlines by crisscrossing the state in a white pickup in a 1996 bid to unseat then-Sen. Phil Gramm, said he will officially file his candidacy Thursday in Austin.

His entrance into the March Democratic primary comes two weeks before the Jan. 2 candidate-filing deadline and months, even years, behind the typical schedule for a major congressional campaign.

"What is the problem of giving the people of District 28 another choice?" the Pleasanton native asked during a swing through San Antonio. "Let the people make their choice, and if it's not meant to be, I can live with it."

Victor will file on Thursday 22nd at 10:am at the State Party Headquarters. I wish him well. He's a fighter!

1. I live in CD 28, Morales lives in Dallas
A whole lot of us here in my district wish Morales would keep his butt up in Dallas instead of making our job of getting rid of Cuellar so much harder simply because Morales has too big an ego. Pleasanton is in CD 28 but Morales hasn't lived in Pleasanton in many years. He's not going to win and all he's going to do is make it harder to get rid of Cuellar now that Richard Raymond has pulled out. Raymond could have pulled enough votes out of Webb county to possibly put his self and Ciro into a runoff together. Without Raymond, it will be a contest of who can get the most people to the polls in Webb county (Cuellar) and South Bexar (Rodriguez).
