Looking for one night of housing around Childress on Jan. 12th.

I'm driving from Santa Fe to Biloxi, MS to do a six-month hurricane relief gig. Funds are tight, but I could contribute a 6-pack or a bottle of wine or, if sober, libation of your choice to pay for my ovrnight. And I'm totally not picky about accomodations, and I'll have a sleeping bag. The living room floor is ok with me.

I know Childress is not in the most liberal part of the state, but there's always hope that a DUer lives around there. Anyone know anyone? If you or someone you know could help me out, please send me a pm.

Believe me, if I could, I would take you up on the offer. But I have to leave Santa Fe on the 11th and get to Biloxi by the 13th. It's a shame, though, because I've always wanted to visit Austin, and especially check out the music scene there. Maybe I'll hit you up on the way home in May, when I might have some time to stop by and play.

going through Dallas. Plenty of DU'ers there. :) Childress isn't exactly a big city. :D

4. Sigh. I know.

But I'm trying to do the trip in 3 days, 6.5 hours apiece. It's something like 9 hours from Santa Fe to Dallas, and I know from experience that the trip from Amarillo to Dallas is grueling in it's monotony. I can't imagine adding the extra hours from Santa Fe. :scared:
