Who the hell is this guy? And why is he running? Who is supporting him?

He was the Democratic nominee for the US Senate a few years back. Apperently he has high name ID due to confusion with another Gene Kelly.

but after doing a google Gene Kelly Texas candidate, this link has been devoted to him. Has several links to his issues, which I haven't researched. But looking over the issues so far I would say he is a Repub in Democratic clothing!

Strongly supports "Abortion is a woman's right". (Sep 2000)

Supports mandatory Three Strikes sentencing laws. (Sep 2000)
Supports the death penalty. (Sep 2000)

Supports "Drug use is immoral: enforce laws against it". (Sep 2000)

Supports Organized Prayer In Public Schools. (Sep 2000)

Gene Kelly is a Moderate Populist Conservative.

I willing to support. I just clicked the profile on that page and it directed me to wikipedia's entry to Gene Kelly the actor:rofl:

I can see how people can get confused by this nonsense. Gene Kelly has risen from the grave (from over 10 years) to ran as a Senate candidate in the Texas race. Watch Gene tap dance his way into the Senate chambers. Watch Gene sing about legislation he will pass.

I would hope people are smarter than this, but alas I don't have much faith in people's intellect:shrug:
