First time in HOUSTON
This town is...uhh...pretty confusing. So far I've counted 3 or 4 downtown skylines. I need help. I'm staying in River Oaks what should I do for the next two nights? And don't say "Galleria" tell me exactly where to go. Or better yet show me.

Thx,

JD

1. Welcome to HOUSTON!!
Thursday night......

Oilpatch Democrats cordially invites one and all to attend our St. Patrick’s eve meeting at Kenneally’s Pub 2111 South Shepherd (north of Hwy 59 on the right) (Greenway Plaza area)

THURSDAY EVENING MARCH 16, 2006

6:30 PM TILL…..the leprechans come home!

If you want to meet some real progressive Democrats, that's the place.

We'd pick you up, but it's also the night of the Harris County Democratic Executive Committee meeting, so we have to do that first and won't get to Kennneally's til about 8:30pm. There may be some DU'ers going, but if you don't hear of some in this thread and want to go, PM me and there are OPD people who would be glad to swing by and pick you up.

2. For any Houstonian's reading my directions above
who is throughly confused, I just looked up the directions to Kenneally's, thinking they must have moved. DUH!! They're where they've always been, on Shepherd, north of Westheimer and just south of SanFelipe.

The notice I got said north of 59 on the right. Yeah, loooooooong way north, if you start looking on the right, after exiting 59.

And Jack_Dawson, it's right where you're staying. Just a bit to the east of River Oaks.
