Obama Pre-Caucus May 31 {{Fort Worth}} Aslo hotel blocks for Obama Delegates that don't have a room

Dear Obama Delegates and Alternates,

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT! Please mark your calendars for our Pre-Caucus Event on May 31 in the Bluebonnet Room, 2511 Rodeo Plaza B, in the Fort Worth Stockyards. We are asking all Delegates and Alternates to attend this event if at all possible.

This event will be an opportunity for National Delegate and other candidates to introduce themselves to the delegation and explain why they are running. Here are the start times, by Senate District:

Senate District 9: Begins at 9 AM

Senate District 10: Begins at 12 noon

Senate Distrct 12: Begins at 4 PM

I will need to confirm if there will be a combined meeting @ 7:00 pm at the same location. Will find out later today and post the info in this thread.

Dear Obama Delegates and Alternates,

We're now just a week away from the Texas State Convention, and I hope everyone is getting excited. I want to update you briefly on some new information.

There are two major events this week: the Temporary Credentials Committee hearing on Thursday, and the May 31 Pre-Caucus on Saturday. Here is some information about each:

• TEMPORARY CREDENTIALS COMMITTEE HEARING

o Thursday, May 28, at 10 am (Fort Worth area challenges will be heard in the afternoon)

o UAW Local 848 Union Hall – 2218 East Main St, Grand Prairie, TX

o The meeting is open to all Delegates and Alternates. Anyone implicated in a Challenge is encouraged to attend, but attendance is not necessary. Staff and volunteer lawyers, local volunteer leaders, and I will be at the meetings advocating on behalf of Obama Delegates and Alternates.

o I hope to be able to debrief everyone on the outcomes of the Credentials Committee hearing at our Pre-Caucus on May 31.

We are looking for the following people to attend the Credentials Hearing tomorrow:

- Anyone who served on a District Convention Credentials Committee, especially SD 12 (Tarrant and Denton) and SD 10.
- Delegate and/or Precinct Chairman from Denton Precinct 121
- Chris Bellomy, Angie Dickson, Linda Cozzen, Marvin Sutton, Mark Greene, Marshall Hobbes

• MAY 31 PRE-CAUCUS FOR DELEGATES (Open to Clinton and Obama Delegates)

o Saturday, May 31, in the Bluebonnet Room, Fort Worth Stockyards. 2511 Rodeo Plaza.
• Senate District 9 – 9am
• Senate District 10 – 12 pm
• Senate District 12 – 4pm

o Agenda

• Confirm Delegates’ Convention arrangements during sign-in
• Report on Temporary Credentials Committee hearing
• National Delegate candidates address delegation
• 3 minute max per speech – STRICTLY ENFORCED
• Candidates may create fliers to distribute
• Candidates may make signs to put on walls and windows
• A/V capability will be available for videos, pictures, Powerpoint, etc.
o Data must be on laptop, CD, or memory stick
o Email Brett if you require A/V capability
• Convention Committee candidates address delegation
• Straw Poll to assess Committee candidate’s support
• Question-and-Answer regarding State Convention

There will be no speeches allowed for any elected positions other than National Delegate or Convention Committees (At-Large Nominations, Officials Nominations, Rules, Credentials, Platform, Resolutions)
