WE DID IT! $2.00 a gallon!
$2.00 a gallon and yet there is no outcry.

Here in Houston a few repubs wanted to lower our tax rate by 1 single penny. A house worth $150,000 would get a whopping $1.00 a month tax cut. That is about a coke a month.

Peope were yelling and screaming for this tax cut, yet when their insurance rates doubled or tripled they did nothing but bend over.

Now we have $2.00 a gallon and they havent done a thing again.

wees bees sum stewpid peoples downs here.

It is just amazing.

It's like $2.30/gal in Seattle. I just spend $26 filling up my economy 4-cylinder. I can laugh at the schmucks driving around in their Hummers.

3. The cheapest in Yuma, AZ is 2.07...
There is this billboard that this gas station has had for a long time that reads "Last chance to get gas before California prices" With the price at 2.07 in Yuma, AZ... that sign does its job in scaring the sh-- out of cross country motorists.

4. idiots
In the last year...

my mortgage payment has gone up $80/month to cover increased property taxes and increased home insurance rates

I had to write a $600 tax check to my county for a new county income tax

my health insurance went from a $5 copay to a $10 copay for office visits not to mention from $5 copay for prescriptions to a 50%-50% pay plan for prescriptions which, given my allergies, is costing me $50 a month

oh yeah, gas prices where I live are now over $2.15/gallon and rising on an hourly basis

but - in fairness - I did save $600 in federal taxes this year as well as receive a $55/month annual raise

and the scary thing is that I know full well that I'm in a great position compared to a lot of other people in the good-ol-USA today

yet all of the republican ads for congress in my local area have one and only one theme - tax cuts... pardopn me, the lunict has inhibitwd my abiblitu tp typw

5. Tax cuts. Shmax cuts. They screwed us all
Yep. Here in Texas we lost bus service to our schools. It gave new meaning to leave no child behind. This was all due to tax cuts.

The list goes on and on. We have less services, more fees, the highest insurance rates in the nation, the worst funded schools, and yet give us a $10 tax cut and we are jumping around like a sophomore getting a date to the junior senior prom.

And they keep electing repugs.

Go figure.

6. Everybody has got to feel it now
One more reason for regime change at home this Nov. We have got to change the direction of this country. We need better and more fuel efficient cars, and a national policy that will promote that. Never going to happen with the oil mad bu$h regime.

This summer when people travel and they feel the prices cutting into their vacations, there will be some screaming. Why wait, start complaining to your Congress men and women now.

Sonia
