Missing Child Alert on Queen Anne

Alec Slover-Hawkins did not return home from school Monday.
SEATTLE - Police began searching the Queen Anne area of Seattle Monday night for an eight-year-old boy who never returned home from school.

Police say there is no indication of foul play, but Alec Slover-Hawkins has no history of wandering off.

Slover-Hawkins is a white male, and was last seen wearing a blue denim jacket, a Spiderman shirt black shoes. He stands about three-foot ten inches and weighs 80 lbs.

Parents are now calling families in the area to see if they know anything.

The child was reported missing around 5:30 p.m. Monday.

The worst part is that all of you whom have me on ignore may be able to help the child, but because you have me on ignore another child may die...

That's why I think putting folks on "ignore" is so childish and no help in really helping those you love. You are no better than those you ignore because if you pay attention, you have to live up to your shortfallings and have to acknowledge that you are just as bad as they are.

None of you whom put folks on ignore have ever had to face someone face to face and admit they have a point and you are wrong.

Being right is more important than helping your brother and sister,

I know the stations. What's sad to me is that the station I first heard about the eight year old doesn't have any news about it on their news homepage - atleast last I looked.

Plus this thread will die a fast death, because I am on ignore from most of the folks here at the DU.

SEATTLE - An 8-year-old boy who failed to return home from school was found safe by searchers early Tuesday morning in Seattle.

Alec Slover-Hawkins told detectives he just wanted to see what it would be like to be out at night, so he wandered through the neighborhood.

He was found just before 2 a.m.

"He's cold, he's wet he's hungry, and he's tired, which I think applies to just about every officer that was out searching," said Deanna Nollette of the Seattle Police Dept.
