I just got back from the Kerry speech in Green Bay. Wow!
I just got back from a rally in Green Bay with John Kerry. There were about two thousand people there, the arena was packed and rocking. My first impression of Kerry is that he is much warmer in person than the way he comes across on TV. He has a very warm and friendly smile, it makes him appear to be very compassionate. I'd like to see him smile more because he really looks like he cares about people when he does. He was really connecting with the audience. Kerry spoke totally off the cuff, no teleprompters for this boy. It's nice to see someone who can speak in complete sentences.

He came onto the stage with 5 of his Viet Nam colleagues. I recognized the faces from his TV ads. One of them spoke briefly about what kind of leadership and courage Kerry had in Viet Nam. Kerry spoke a good deal about veterans and taking care of them when they return ("I support our troops not only while they are fighting overseas, but also when they return home again.")

There was a tremendous amount of electricity in the air. People were very excited to see him and it looks like he could get a lot of support from this area. There was a small protest rally outside the convention hall led by Congressman Mark Green, but only a couple of dozen people showed up for that. Ha!

1. Kerry LIVE
I saw him in Flint, Michigan. He was warm and approachable. You definately did not get any kind of an arrogant feel to him. I agree and coupled with his fantastic wife. He the man! Glad you had a similar experience. Had the BEST Kerry meetup here so far. We are getting so huggy bear lovey motivated. We got to keep this up even after Kerrys' election.

And thanks for the "live" report. What a contrast to the resident!

4. What, no free speech zone for the protesters?

What is this world coming to? One more reason not to put the libruls in charge </sarcasm>

Thanks for the report. I think Kerry is suffering a little from the Gore Syndrome. In his ads and televised speeches, he looks very scripted and stiff. In person, he seems entirely different - just like our elected President Gore.

on edit: Welcome :toast:
