Best result of the day...

from my district...

It was a bad day for the British National Party though, as they lost two of its three contested seats, both of which were picked up by the Loughton Residents Association. Liberal Democrats made one gain.

You could put a dead donkey with a blue rosette up for election round there and it would still win.

The best news in Essex probably came in Colchester though, where the Tories lost control of the council. Especially when you consider how bad many of their local policies are (such as demolishing the bus station to build a visual arts facility in its place).
