I got invited to the inaugural ......
Somehow these jokers got my address when I wrote to them to complain.
I send most of the BOP email back with my dissent noted and then get an email back thanking me for my support.

From: "Chairman Ed Gillespie" <ChairmanEdGillespie@gop.com>
To: ____________
Subject: _______'s Invitation: Inaugural Party for the President

Dear _______,

Just six weeks ago, America spoke - loud and clear - and re-elected
President George W. Bush.

In just over five weeks, on January 20, 2005, the President will be sworn
in at an Inaugural Celebration in Washington, DC. They say the Inaugural
is a celebration of the President, but it is really a celebration of you
and the work you did on the campaign to ensure the President's agenda
moves forward.

You're invited to join us at an Inaugural Party for the President, or to
host one in your home. http://www.GOP.com/Party

Those who hosted or attended a Party for the President through the
campaign's website know how easy it is to open your home and invite your
friends and neighbors to join you in a celebration of our President's
re-election. For the next four years, we'll keep the Party going on
http://www.GOP.com.

If you have never hosted a Party for the President, it couldn't be easier.
Just visit the Party for the President page, tell us when and where your
party will be held, and we'll make sure you get everything you need -
including a letter from the President thanking you for your Party and
welcoming all of your guests.

After all the hard work of the last year, you deserve to have some fun.
What better way to celebrate the re-election for which you worked so hard
than toasting with friends and family the swearing in of the President.

Visit http://www.GOP.com/Party to get started.

Thanks again for all you've done.

Sincerely,

Ed Gillespie
Chairman,
Republican National Committee

P.S. On January 20, 2005, President George W Bush will be sworn in to
begin his second term. The Inauguration is a celebration of you, and all
you have done to ensure the President's re-election. There's no better way
to join the celebration than holding an Inaugural Party for the President
with your friends and family. Visit http://www.GOP.com/Party to get
started.

2. Did they include self addressed, postage prepaid envelopes
with the stack of crap? If so, fold all of it pack up, put it in the envelope and stick it in the mail. I did that and they dropped me from their mailing list.

p.s.: I do that with all the junk mail from credit card companies and other companies that send me unsolicited crap.

18. No, the brick it too heavy
the post office has orders on packages that are too heavy for their size. They generally return them to the sender.

junk paper, newspaper, toilet paper, that would work!

13. I got invited to lunch with the Dim Son sometime before the
election. It was a phone call -- for a fundraiser probably. It would have been satisfying to refuse, "I don't hang out with crime syndicates" but it was obvious this woman was working a paid job, so I just asked to be taken off the list.

17. Do you have to sign an oath of allegiance to go?
You should save it...for posterity.

If by some miracle, Kerry is actually sworn in, you could send it BACK to them with Bush's name scratched out and Kerry's inserted.

14. In the 60s, Grace Slick got an invitation to Tricia Nixon's tea party
because they had gone to finishing school together. Grace had a braistorm to lace the tea with LSD, so she went to the party with Abbie Hoffman, but they were turned away at the door. I love that story :hippie:

Last time I checked Jan 6 predates Jan 20 on the calendar or have we now changed that in our rewrite of history?
