 I think there is a direct correlation between how people interpret Kerry's actions and who they supported during the Primaries.
I will say it again. History will judge John Kerry. Now just does not seem like the most appropriate time to be discussing this. The silent revolution has begun. Now is the time for us, the few concerned citizens, to take back this Democracy.
-- spitefully ignored the demonstrations and recommendations of our allies in Europe and millions of their citizens and plunged right into the goddam war without so much as a howdydo.
Let's not forget that this Secretary of State lied through his teeth at the U.N. and that this National Security Council acquiesced in the lie.
Singling Kerry out doesn't address the source of the blame. This war, this assault on a sovereign nation resulting in thousands and thousands of Iraqi dead and wounded, was decided on and planned long before that vote ever reached the floor of the U.S. Senate.
He voted for the authority to go to war if need be. This after weighing all options. Which was not done. It's not the same thing as voting for Bush to invade Iraq which was not the vote. He was thinking of the future in regard to a President having this power. His thinking is if he or anyone needs this power it shouldn't be compromised by a vote of "no" for authority to go to war by this vote in the future.
no matter what he does. Thankfully, DU is not representative of the Democratic Party as a whole. I see his letter as very positive. I think that hounding the House and Senate Leaders is a most excellent proposition  I think I will make a sport of it.
20. Why do people want Kerry to get bashed and smeared the way Gore did?
That is exactly what would happen. In fact I bet that Roveco wants Kerry to join the protest because then they would have a target. No senators stood up last year with the black caucus and Gore had fought. Some of them are using Kerry's concession as a reason not to contest, but I don't think they would anyway.
