I have an overwhelming feeling of ick
and I can't shake it.
I read one positive then a negative cancels it out.
I know I am not the only one wringing my hands tonight with bad feelings in the pit of my stomach.
I want to believe this great nation will not stand by while these thugs rape and pillage her without at least going out with a fight.
It seems we have all been so let down by so many people in the last months, but we have also been uplifted by Will and many of the others here and we will need to hang on to that. The people here have given me hope--of which will come to fruition tomorrow.
I just wanted to let you all know that the fight isn't over--no matter who does or doesn't stand, or what the final outcome is tomorrow...we have to stand together and figure out how our David can slay their Goliath if that is our worst case scenario.
It is going to be a long night. The last truly long night I had like this was September 11, 2001.
That was the first time in my life that I didn't feel secure and safe in the United States. Tonight is the second.

1. okay I know we are trying to stay away from the tin foil hat
theories. But every pyschic is saying the same thing. That Bush will not fill out his second term. I have heard other pyschics say that a tragedy will befall the Bush family.

I suspect Bush will get his inaguration but, something else is a brewing in the distance. And the stench has hit everyone's nose by now whether you voted for shrub or the real deal Kerry.

4. You don't have to be psychic to "know" that.
But I suppose it helps. ;-)

Anyone who has ever worked with people with psychological conditions(at least those who haven't eaten the lotuses...) will tell you that a pall of lack of insight and impulse control hangs over these guys. That is a recipe for disaster for them.

The bill will come due.

3. I know. I've had my hopes up so many times. But I believe Boxer will
come through. I remember on the war, she pulled through. On the filibusters, she pulled through long before Feinstein. I believe we can trust her. Tomorrow I'll find out if I'm right.

5. Part of my feeling of ick had an onset while I was trying
to feel out what some of the other "MSM" was saying.
Went to Faux (that could be cause of majority of ick, lol) and saw this...

>>>>>snip
Boxer and several other senators had been approached by the House Democrats to launch the corresponding objection from the Senate that would force the recess of the joint session. An aide to Boxer told FOX News that the two-term senator may join the Democratic representatives or "may very well end up doing something short of it. What that means, I'm not sure yet."
>>>>snip
Asked about the political wisdom of deciding to join House members in contesting the results, the Boxer aide said, "These are credible folks in the House who say there are real problems out there. They need to shine the light on this. So they made an appeal to the senator for the right to shine the light on it. There are folks who think this is a not a fruitful exercise, because even the results are challenged, it still may not change the outcome, but for two hours, this might at least be worth discussing."
>>>>snip
Another Democratic leadership aide told FOX News that there is "not going to be a vote on this," referring to any objections, and explained that instead, Boxer may go the floor to talk about the voting problems that occurred in 2004

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,143452,00.html

That one article really put trepidation in my step...if some of these Senators plan on standing on the floor to talk about the widespread voting problems rather than objecting to the Ohio vote, then we are sunk.

6. We will get through whatever comes... whatever happens
this country has been through horrific times in the past... and "we shall overcome... someday" and this is another someday, right now. Embrace the moment. I'm excited and energized because I KNOW that history will be made tomorrow no matter how it goes...

7. There's a reason that negatives keep canceling out the positives
There's a certain element that wants you to despair, and another less malevolent but no less damaging element that doesn't feel any hope and therefore seems to get quite angry when others do.

I went to the Rally for the Republic in San Francisco last night, and heard so many positive and empowering words from people hard at work on exposing this fraud. There is no way that this can be kept hidden. It may not spill out exactly on the schedule we'd like, but spill it will, and once it does, there will be no containing it. Just the fact that we have gotten people like Senator Boxer to pay serious attention to this issue is a tremendous victory. And it is only the beginning.

You can bet the colonists were nervous when they decided it was time to declare independence. Freedom is scary, but it's worth the fight.

8. Maybe we're not used to surfing risks. And some risks are worth
taking.

"Ick" is a great way to put it. Will we be all right? Will we be scr$wed? How can we know? We can't know. Ick.

Take heart. We do one hurdle at a time. And in the mean time, we're surrounded by people who know, as we do, how neccessary this risk is.

It'll be fine. Watch. Not easy or fast, but fine. Sometimes "Ick" will overtake us but, hey, what's "Ick" compared to what we fight for?

If there is a day when all our people, when every citizen can cast their vote and know it counted just as one vote, no more or less, it will be cause we were able to just hang out with "ick" for a while.

9. Read rules for radicals,
it helps put it in perspective. Its a never ending battle, hope is what keeps us going, and history shows the pendulum always swings back. Stay positive and keep up the good fight no matter what happens!
