Because this is what it would have taken for the result you wanted to happen today. We have a minority. Yes i suppose the Democrats could have all stood and said this but for what? Right now that was not the wisest thing to do.

Tonight I went on the bipartisan board i have been at for a while. Since i have been there i have never seen so many people as i did today. On both sides. Why? Because we through some brave officials have made a rumble. It was heard much further than anything we have tried before.

Everyone knows the court cases are still going on. More people now know that Blackwell was criminal in his actions. The work is being done. This is not a movie folks. This is real life. Real life occasionally takes time, disappointment and a lot of hard work.

We all have choices to make. What will we do with the time that is given to us? Will we discourage those that might fight on our behalf? Insult those who already have? The Congressional votes were not the real gift today. It was the Congressional debate that did an incalculable amount.

This has a long time before it. We will not recieve immediate gratification on orgasmic levels.

People got to start thinking these things out.

2. ...it was hard to see that debate for what it was....
as associated with pig-like behavior of Repugs making so much noise in the back of the House of Representative that Representative Watt from NC had to stop speaking and the speaker of that house asked the Repugs to shut-up

I was very offended by many of the Republicans. I thought: this: this is what we have come to.....a cabal of narrow-minded, self-serving, concrete-thinking, watch my own ass, types....

I wrote them and told them so as I watching.

8. I want all the Republican Senators to eat their words so badly...
I spent the better part of the day shaking in indignation. But the ONLY WAY to get them out is to keep our cool. Keep doing what we are doing. Support the courts cases. I cannot emphasis how important this is. If you have lost faith in an official so be it. This is not about them now. It is about us. What do we want? We want him out? Then how are we going to make this happen? I do not see waiting four years as a viable option. We are some very intelligent people. We are smarter than Rove. We need to figure out what it will take to abolish this regime. Alienating the second half of congress right now might not be in our very best interests. Feel what you feel for them and when the time comes vote for them as you feel right. But right now, the more people for us, in whatever capacity we can push them to, the stronger we are. I am not above using idle flattery to maintain my liberty. It is the language of politics.

6. No, but I did expect them to behave better than they did
I think they screwed themselves. Any American citizen that watches this will clearly see they don't want Americans to know what they are discussing behind closed doors. They are trying to hide their votes and their bills from us. THAT IS WHAT THEY ARE HIDING? Along with how many of them were involved with placing certain people in certain places to thwart the votes of American citizens. Man, the Thugs have nothing but contempt for minorities. It sickens me to see them talking to, not just the American public, but the overwhelmingly African American and Hispanic Representatives that spoke so eloquently today

7. everyone should watch the congressional sessions again
you will see that every dem. did a damn good job. The pubs. are on the defensive...even saying we were putting america in danger by contesting...you know they were caught of gaurd when they have to pull out the "danger" card.
