gesture. They all know she is going to be confirmed. It would mean a lot more if there was a one vote margin and then Kerry voted no. The way it is, you can vote your conscience or your constituency and still know it won't rock the political boat.

What he did is off protocol for this type of hearing. He pretty much said well, everyone is supposed to vote 'yes' even though she sucks, but I am actually going to vote the way I feel, which is 'no', because she sucks.

I don't intend to get into an argument with you,I believe we are on the same side here. I have spent a very long time on the front lines of this fight. First in the Kerry campaign then in Ohio fighting for voters rights and the recount. I also spent a week in DC fighting to challenge the electoral college vote. So please don't try to tell me things you think I don't know, about politics in general and Kerry in particular.

is why cant we charge blackwell with something. is there a law (and i have heard there is, dont know), that he blatanly broke that can have charges brought up against him. i think that would be the beginning in the next step of going after election fraud. i think this is doable and to prosecute someone would be important and a first step

150. They just said Condi has passed her test! OMG...
These Dems have let this country down...I'm tired of being supportive and understanding and patient...It is SIMPLE! The only two senators who had a backbone...Boxer and Kerry. Biden was on with a triple...just needed to make it home and could not deliver! What happened to Dodd? Forget Feinstein...she's worthless. Ugh!!! And Obama? All talk, no walk! Very disappointing!

157. Holding their votes? Why, is there a quota and they don't want to use
them up? How can they question her telling the truth in the past, then question her telling them the truth in the hearings AND vote to confirm her?

By doing that, it somehow makes the NO vote more meaningful down the road on a lifetime appointment?

questioned her more forcefully than did the Dems? Apparently, he's been to Venezuela and is appalled by how Rice & * are demonizing the democratically elected government there.
