3. Checkpoints

I just talked to a friend of mine in DC. He said there are about a dozen checkpoints you need to get through to actually be able to see the parade. And then he said that a lot of route is made up of stands that have been set up where the seats are actually SOLD for viewing. Give me a break. I assumed you could just walk up to the sidewalk and watch like any other event.

I understand security, but this is too much.
