Looking at this very closely
I'm afraid the number of posts is going down quite a bit after the changes...

Let's keep it up!

3. All the subjects "not related to" the forum's title are banned
So people is more worried about formalities than substance.

I knew this was going to happen...

isolate manefestation of the apparent 'new rules'.

It is not condusive to what this forum had become -imo

all these hearings and other issues are IMPORTANT. We need to be able to see what our government is up too, not just concentrate on the future.

18. Do you think it's worth revisiting the idea of a DU Group?
I don't think anyone specifically proposed that to the admins. I would like all of the relevant discussion and the formerly active posters to stay here, but it doesn't look like that's happening (at least not at the moment). I know there was some resistance to the idea of a group, because it was felt that it would splinter people off. Since it appears that is happening anyway, maybe a group would be a way of bringing everyone back to the fold?

22. we can call it
The Bonded Members of former 2004 Election Results and Discussion Forum Group

and our mission statement is: This group is for all of those who bonded during the 2004 election investigations to come together and discuss election fraud, reform, important current issues/online activism, and the daily KOEB thread, without disruption from outside forces.

25. Maybe, however...
I'm quite surprised that we DID NOT VOTE for a CONSENSUAL new name.

It is called internal democracy. Moreover, I see the point of avoiding disruptive treads but, who controls the master features and can move the treads?

Not me, not you.

19. What do you mean...

by "No, apparently we have no say"?

I thought this was precipitated just a couple of days ago by a proposal from nashuaadvocate. Is this cast in stone by some other source?

Maybe I'm a sucker but it seemed the last thing advocate was trying to do was kill this forum... he was trying to praise it (... I know - 'Julius Ceaser').

Is this one of those "path to hell is paved with good intentions" sorts of things?

34. VOTE is still working on it.
We are just quietly amassing people, information and resources.

We won't defeat * in a day or a week or a month. We will defeat * slowly, one voter, one election reform bill at a time.

11. Creative writing
Weave Election reform Advocacy and Action into everything. After all everything can in some way be related to how someone may act when it comes to an election. Reform is essential to capturing that vote. This is not dishonest, simply practical. People that object to "fraud" cannot see the forest for the trees.

28. The fire has burned down
The embers are still red hot, but the flames are gone.

These are the times that test one's resolve. We've done what we could do when the actions called for action, and now there isn't mush to do but keep the fire from going out all together.

It's time to take it to our local election offices. Each of us needs to have a look at the public records. I plan on looking up the internet traffic in the elections office, especially on the days just before election day, and on that day.

What do I hope to find? That source code patches were transmitted, and that vote totals went back to the suppliers.

In my state there are a number of bills coming up having to do with election reform, and in due time federal reforms are coming. We all need to stay on top of those actions.

We believe fraud occurred, and now we take the time, like all good investigations need, to get the details.

33. Well, maybe from your perspective - not mine
My email is flooded with requests for stuff on election fraud and reform.

Pepper32 started up a Yahoo group for VOTE (Voters for Open and Transparent Elections) and we are putting all types of information on it. We have links to other groups - not many now but it's building, links to other sites, documents on fraud, an upcoming CD of kick-ass music to march by and we are having an online chat tomorrow night to discuss funding and other things.

I have requested information for VOTE in this forum and haven't had that much interest.

I wonder - is a name change all that important? Really? I understand that change is difficult.

I just want to work for reform and to imprison anyone who commits election fraud.

If you care to join us, let me know and I'll invite you to the group.

I love DU and don't see this as a setback or a sign that people are moving on or getting over anything.

30. I Agree This Is Ridiculous
Whats with the change all of a sudden? I was expecting some sort of change over the coming months but this is just drastic. its hectic, I can't find the people I used to talk to anymore, I cant find the post I used to love anymore, I dont know where to post, and I havent yet found angrydemocrat to cheer on John Kerry with those pictures that are so inspiring.lol.

Its like where all bing scattered throughout DU and no matter what we post in this "new group" it gets moved somewhere else because the moderators dont "feel" it belongs here, what the crap?
