MISSED DEADLINE: Time's up for voter database (NV RED STATE!)
Edited on Mon Mar-13-06 10:49 AM by NVMojo
Do I smell a rat? Do I have my tin foil hat on? You bet! Meet the bastard who lied Nevada into Sequoias with papertrails while over 50% of Nevada votes are still voting with Sequoias without papertrails! :tinfoilhat: And this MOFO is running for CONGRESS! If he wins, he knows something a few others in Nevada know! You can't verify the vote on over 50% of the machines in Nevada elections! Particularly in Las Vegas where over 50% of the voters in Nevada live!

NV SOS DEAN HELLER!

A county official says Secretary of State Dean Heller, who is running for Congress, botched the awarding of a multimillion-dollar contract to create a statewide voter database, leading Nevada to miss a federal deadline and potentially waste taxpayer money.

Larry Lomax, the Clark County registrar of voters, says the secretary of state's office never should have given the contract to an out-of-state company that, it turned out, couldn't do the job.

The state has suspended the $4.6 million contract after a failed demonstration last month for the state's county clerks. The demonstration of the new registration software designed by Michigan-based Covansys was supposed to take a week, but it was ended after three days "because the product was so bad," Lomax said.

The deadline for the statewide voter registration system was Jan. 1.

Lomax opposed the Covansys contract from the start, saying he thought the state should have chosen a different vendor.

Heller took responsibility for the failure but portrayed the contract as a daring risk that didn't pan out.
