Can someone help me to help you?

Okay, I admit it. I'm scared shitless about election fraud. I'm also not in good health. The combination has made me withdraw to lick my wounds. I still sign petitions and send an occasional letter to my representatives, but I don't think it's doing us any good. I don't know what to do. Everything I do seems so futile.

I haven't kept up on election fraud news because it scares me so badly. It's like keeping up on environmental issues. I don't do it because I end up dreading the future. It's tempting to just live as much life as possible before the hammer falls, then have a plan to check out.

My home, California, is in trouble. The nation is in trouble. The world is in trouble. Not enough people are paying attention to the voting issue, which should be #1. If we can't get decent representation in government, we might as well put our heads between our legs and kiss our asses goodbye.

Is there someone here who would be willing to meet with me weekly and give me little assignments to 1) help me bone up on the issues and 2) do something useful to help get the message out there? I really want to help, but I'm having trouble because I'm afraid. I'm also fighting poor health...fibromyalgia this time, I think. Crap.

I just want small assignments: learn something here; LTTE there. Maybe I could get local Dems to take the issue seriously if I knew more about it. I handed out CDs about election fraud at a Dem meeting once and they all looked at me as if I'd lost my mind. It didn't exactly make me want to try again...or even go to another meeting. The folks were all older and seemed to regard me as a callow youth invading their territory. What made that even more scary is the fact I'm not exactly young. I'm closing in on 40. Yeah, I look a lot younger than that, but who cares? WHERE ARE THE YOUNG PEOPLE???? The Dems at the meeting looked at me like they didn't trust anyone under 50.

When I was a fundy, I had trouble with "witnessing." I don't "do" conflict or debate. My talents lie elsewhere. I can be a leader when there is camaraderie, but not when there is opposition. I think my best role would be as a supporter for those who are doing the "witnessing." I can edit LTTEs. I can do artwork. I'm a decent vocalist...don't know what use that would be, but I'd sing for the cause. :) I'm computer literate. I have a knack for fixing PCs...building, repairing, upgrading, etc. I'm smart, creative and talented in many areas. Use me.

Would someone help me to help you? I don't know what to do or how to manage my fear and bad health and still help. :shrug:

My neighbor/activist friend and I had one going last year. Had 100 recipients on the list. She wants to start it up again. I have limits on my time. Want to help? You can do it via e-mail.
