TruthIsAll love post! Clean elections needed to heal a sick country!
Like many here at DU, I came to DU after the 2004 election, looking for answers--I didn't think the country had re-elected this thieving, murderous junta--and I stayed on at DU because of one person, known to us all as TruthIsAll.

His statistical analysis of the 2004 election exit polls and other election number-crunching established that something was extremely wrong with that vote count, with the culprit likely being the rightwing Bushite corporations--Diebold and ES&S--who now control the tabulation of our votes in new and highly insecure and hackable electronic voting systems run on 'TRADE SECRET,' PROPRIETARY programming code, with virtually no audit/recount controls--a NON-TRANSPARENT voting system brought to you by the biggest crooks in Congress, Tom Delay and Bob Ney, who funded this election scam with the $4 billion electronic voting boondoggle called the "Help America Vote Act" during the 2001-2004 period.

The purpose of HAVA was to completely corrupt and destroy our election system, and that's what it did.

TruthIsAll demonstrated what happens when you can't recount the vote, and when votes are counted by fascist corporations behind a veil of secrecy, in collusion with the war profiteering corporate news monopolies. The news monopolies did their part by shutting down the reporting system on election night 2004, and FALSIFYING their exit polls (Kerry won) to 'FIT' the results of Diebold's and ES&S's secret formulae (Bush won).

This was not an election. This was a coup.

Everything that has happened since strongly reinforces that conclusion. We are suffering a fascist junta.

Our country is sick from humongous, unprecedented looting by this junta, and is sick in its soul with torture, mass murder, lying and greed.

Now TruthIsAll is ill and in the hospital. The war he waged for the TRUTH in the months after the election undoubtedly took its toll on him. The entire country and all of its institutions--the Democratic Party, the Republican Party, the Congress, the courts, the corporate news monopolies, individual corrupt or frightened election officials around the country, and a good portion of the leftist establishment, not only failed us, they drew an Iron Curtain down over the news of this fraudulent election system and its fraudulent results.

Fighting that kind of darkness can be sickening. It can do you in. It's no wonder TIA is ill.

Clearly we need a revolution here, such as is occurring all over Latin America--with leftist governments elected, often by big majorities, in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Venezuela and Bolivia--virtually the entire map of South America. Peru and Mexico will likely be next. And one of the keys to this remarkable revolution is TRANSPARENT elections, the result of hard work by grass roots activists, local civic groups, the OAS, EU election groups and the Carter Center.

In Chile, they just elected their first woman president, socialist Michele Batchelet, who was tortured by the US-backed dictator Pinochet. In Bolivia, they just elected their first indigenous Indian president, Evo Morales--after a grass roots uprising against Bechtel, which had privatized the water in one Bolivian city and jacked up the prices to the poor. Bolivia threw Bechtel out of their country, and elected a socialist and former coca leaf grower, Evo Morales. Brazil has as president a former steel worker, Lula da Silva, who led the third world country revolt at the World Trade Organization meeting in Cancun. And then there is Hugo Chavez, the firebrand of the continent, who is using some of Venezuela's oil revenues at long last to benefit Venezuela's vast poor population, and whose elections are among the most highly monitored in the world. These governments have common themes: ENFRANCHISEMENT of the highly oppressed and exploited, and mostly black and brown, poor of Latin America, self-determination, anti-imperialism and anti-Bush and his ugly war. And it's all happening DEMOCRATICALLY, through TRANSPARENT elections.

The revolution that is sweeping Latin America, to me, is a large-scale manifestation of TIA's passion for democracy, and for the truth, honesty, and openness that it must be based upon.

The Latin Americans are proving that you CAN restore democracy, and save your country from vicious oppression and massive theft. These countries have suffered centuries of oppression, and in modern times, continued oppression by US-based global corporations and banks, by US-trained death squads, by US-supported dictators, by assassinations and torture, and by the greed of the their own rich elites.

It CAN be done. You can create democracy. You can restore democracy. And the Latin Americans are showing the way--how to do it peacefully and democratically.

I believe that TIA's insistence on the truth is the spark for American Revolution II. I feel it burning in my heart and in my mind. Step one: We MUST restore our right to vote, and seize our election system back from the criminals who would count our votes with "TRADE SECRET" programming!

That is my healing message. It CAN be done! It's happening outside our borders, all over Latin America. And it CAN happen here, in the birthplace of modern democracy, the U.S. of A.

Rest, TIA! You've done your work. It is a beacon, still shining its brilliant light. Others can read it for themselves at: www.TruthIsAll.net.

Rest well, truth-lover! Patriot! Beautiful one! Know that you did well by us. Accept our thanks and our prayers. Heal yourself.

machines: Smartmatic. Certainly not leading the rightwing parties in Venezuela to any level of confidence in the results. Chavez should ditch the machines and win his elections in the open.

26. Venezuela has OPEN SOURCE CODE!
They vote electronically, but the programming is available for all to scrutinize--unlike here where it's treated as a private business 'TRADE SECRET'. Venezuela also does fingerprinting as voter ID, and they have the most heavily monitored elections in the world--by the OAS, EU election groups, and the Carter Center, as well as grass roots activists and local civic groups.

And in every other democracy in the world, EXIT POLLS are kept SEPARATE from the official result--an essential check and balance on rigged elections. Not here. Here, the war profiteering corporate news monopolies MIXED their exit poll data with the results of Diebold's and ES&S's secret formulae, and FALSIFIED their exit polls to hide the Kerry win of the exit polls. They LIED to people. They put DOCTORED numbers on everybody's TV screens on election night. They thus denied the American people major evidence of election fraud--unlike in the Ukraine, for instance, where people could see the two different results, exit poll vs. official, and knew that something was very wrong (and took to the streets and got that wrong official result REVERSED).

The Venezuelans have a TRANSPARENT election system, and we don't. That's the truth. The fault is not with electronic voting; the fault is with 'TRADE SECRET' programming code, and virtually no audit/recount controls, and complicit corporate news organizations. However, the corruption wrought by HAVA--among state and federal legislators and election officials around the country--is so serious that we probably should chuck it all out, all electronics, and go back to paper ballots hand-counted at the precinct level (the old-fashioned way), until we've completely cleaned house, and until true, public, transparent, auditable electronic voting systems can be developed by NON-PROFIT, NON-PRIVATE, NON-PARTISAN entities.

14. Beautiful and so TRUE. Now that's a healing message.
The fight for democracy goes on everywhere and at all times. Our level is the political but it's more than that. Democracy, collective decision making, respect for others is a struggle in the home, the work place, our social circles, and, frankly, within our own minds. The tyranny of simple mindedness or bigotry enables all the other manifestations of anti democratic behavior. Find me a tolerant, peace loving, open minded tyrant and I'll prove to you that it can never be so. It starts with "I am weak..." and then moves along to "I am a victim..." to "I am in danger..." and so soft. The rest is history, the entire pathetic cycle of violence of people against each other and their surroundings.

We're at the point where there is actually hope for a change in consciousness. That's what TIA was fighting for, awakening, honesty, and acceptance of the simple truth...

Rest, get well. You are in our thoughts.

25. It CAN be done! We can have democracy here, too, in the U.S. of A.!
Edited on Thu Mar-16-06 11:56 AM by Peace Patriot
1. Think long term, like the South Americans have done. Priority #1: TRANSPARENT elections. We may not achieve it this year. We WILL, in the end. They cannot kill our democracy!

2. Pressure the Democratic Party to conduct INDEPENDENT exit polls. The corporate news monopoly exit polls cannot be trusted. They (Edison-Mitofsky) have promised never to let us see their REAL exit poll numbers again. And this is the LEAST the Democratic Party can do for us--independent exit polls--considering their failure to protect our right to vote, for whatever reasons of corruption, fear or insanity!

3. Monitor election officials and election results, gather evidence for challenges and for the case against non-transparent electronic voting. Raise hell with election officials about non-transparent systems. Investigate corruption. Throw them out of office.

4. This fraudulent election system CAN be defeated by an overwhelming turnout of voters determined to beat the fraud. But we must be honest with people, tell them the TRUTH, and involve them in overcoming the rigged machines. Bumper sticker: "HELP BEAT THE MACHINES! VOTE!"

I first came to this board just after the 2004 Elections. TruthIsAll has been an inspiration and joy to watch during those gloomy days. May his gloomy days pass and may he find good fortune and good health for his amazing attempt at proving that the 2004 election was a fraud. That is not a minor task, but one of the greatest things he has done for others out of his quest for justice.

43. 1 OUT OF 282 BILLION
That was the odds of Bush being able to overcome Kerry’s 50.8% - 48.2% lead in the National Exit Poll Sub-sample (13,047 polled) and win the popular vote: 51.2% - 48.4%, a 3.0% increase from the exit poll to the vote tally, far beyond the 0.86% margin of error.

It is also the odds that TruthIsAll is one the greatest heros of our time. What are the odds of them being the same? It's about 100% :)

You have done an amazing job. That rainy November we didn't know what happened. We were sure that Kerry won the elections and it was not possible that Bush could have won and suddenly he was announced a winner. Then TruthIsAll came along and showed us that the numbers are not correct. The election fraud was not proven by a professor. It was not proven by a reporter. It was not proven by a politican. It was an ordinary person on a messageboard who could play with Excel and had knowledge of statistics and he did what nobody else could do. He proved it. And we all watched the breathtaken performance because during a rainy November a bright double rainbow could be seen and we know its name. Its name was TruthIsAll :)

Our Evidence vs. Their Evidence

www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=203&topic_id=366974

OUR EVIDENCE

We know Kerry led the pre-election state polls.
We know Kerry led the pre-election national polls.

We know Kerry led the post-election state exit polls, 51-48%.
We know Kerry led the post-election national exit poll, 51-48%

We know documented voting machine “glitches” favored Bush 99% of the time.

We know the media and E-M will not release detailed raw precinct data.
We know Blackwell refused to testify before Conyers.
We know Mitofsky refused to testify before Conyers.

We know that there were over 21 million new voters.
We know Kerry won the vast majority (57-62%) of new voters.

We know there were 3 million former Nader voters.
We kknow Kerry won Nader voters by 71%-21% over Bush.

We know Party ID averaged 39% Dem/35% Rep/26% Independent in the prior three elections.
We know Party ID was 38/35/27 for the first 13047 National Exit Poll respondents.
We know it was changed to 37/37/24 for the final 613 in the 13660 Final.

We know Kerry, like Gore, won the female vote 54/46% up until the final 660 respondents.
We know it was changed to 51% in the 13660 Final.

We know Bush 2000 voters represented an IMPOSSIBLE 43% of the 2004 electorate in the final 13660 Exit poll.
We know it was changed from 41% in the first 13047
We know that Bush had 50.456 mm votes in 2000.
We know that about 3.5% of them have since died.
We know, therefore, that the Bush percentage could not have been higher than 39.8% (48.69/ 122.26).
We know that with the 39.8/40.2% weighting, Kerry won by 52.4-46.7%, or SEVEN million votes.

We know the 2000 election was stolen - by Bush in Florida where 175,000 punch cards (70% of them Gore votes) were spoiled.
We know SCOTUS stopped the recount and voted 5-4 for Bush.

We know the 2002 election was stolen (ask Max Cleland).

We know that the National Exit Poll MoE is under 1%.
We know because we checked the NEP margin of error table.
We know because we did the simple MoE calculation.
We know that Kerry won the Natioanl Poll by over 3%, 51-48%.
We know the odds are astronomical that the deviation was triple the MoE.

We know that 42 of 50 states deviated from the exit polls to Bush. We know that includes ALL 22 states in the Eastern Time Zone.

We know that 16 states deviated beyond the exit poll MoE for Bush, and none did for Kerry.

We know that touch screen voting machines became widely used in 2004.

We know that Republicans fought against paper ballots for Diebold and ESS touch screens.

We know that ALL Diebold ATMs provide a paper receipt.

We know that the deviation trend from the exit polls to the vote was approaching ZERO until 2000, when there was a dramatic reversal.

We know that scores of newspapers which supported Bush in 2000 supported Kerry in 2004.

We know that Kerry won the Ohio Exit Poll, by at least 51-48%.

We know the media will not report in any of the above.

THEIR EVIDENCE:
Something we don't know.
The rBr hypothesis: Bush voters were reluctant to speak to exit pollsters.

But..
We know that many Republican voters deserted Bush for Kerry.
We know there were hardly any Gore Democrats who voted for Bush.

Ladies and Gentleman of the Jury:
Have you reached a verdict?

44. A very nice summation, Dr. Debug!
And I really liked this bit...

"And we all watched the breathtaking performance because during a rainy November a bright double rainbow could be seen and we know its name. Its name was TruthIsAll."

As John Keats said, "Beauty is truth, truth beauty." ("Ode on a Grecian Urn").

There is something so beautiful about TIA and what he did. It's hard to explain.

Truth = beauty.

The sun shining through the miserable rain and the cold and the dark, and making that gorgeous arc of radiant color.

Truth. Is. All.

True to his name, true to himself, true to us all. True and beautiful. And full of color!

47. We also know that the main strwam media chose to put
the spotlight on the Ukrainian election instead of our own. There was more uproar there than here.

52. We KNOW that TIA is smiling today -- crooks getting their just deserts
No intent to deny the love fest, which is wonderful (your logo collection is perfect) but let me share two items:

1) We all know that TIA is thrilled at today's news -- it's worse than it appears because now the sharks will eat each other...

2) A second reason to smile is this snip from the Plain Dealer. Check out the comment on "bloggers" tracking Baxter's case. That's us and many of us started out this trek because of TIA's great influence. All of us, all the hard core democracy advocates, whether he pulled us in, pushed us along, or simply informed up...all of us know that the energy and determination of TIA's relentless pursuit of the truth is emblematic of those who fight election fraud.

THANK YOU TIA

Workers accused of fudging ’04 recount

Prosecutor says Cuyahoga skirted rules

Thursday, April 06, 2006
Joan Mazzolini
Plain Dealer Reporter

After the 2004 presidential election, Cuyahoga County election workers secretly skirted rules designed to make sure all votes were counted correctly, a special prosecutor charges.

<snip>

Michael Vu, executive director of the Cuyahoga County elections board, said workers followed procedures that had been in place for 23 years. He said board employees had no objection to doing an exhaustive hand count if needed, meaning they had no motive to break the law.

Internet bloggers have cried foul since 2004 about election results in Ohio, one of the key states in deciding the election. They have been tracking Baxter's investigation with online posts about the indictments.

Baxter charges that Cuyahoga election workers - mindful of the monthlong Florida recount in 2000 - not only ignored the safeguards but worked to defeat them during Ohio's 2004 recount.
