OK. Cough It Up.
As a state senator, she may well be the nations most serious and qualified elected official advocating reform of the election management system.

As the Democratic Party's nominee for California Secretary of State she is, as the LA Weekly endorsed, "from central casting".

As Secretary of State I have no doubt her tenure will have national implications.

Contribute to Debra's campaign today!

Debra Bowen needs your support to restore confidence, integrity, and independence in democratic government here in California.

Please make a generous contribution to Debra's campaign for Secretary of State today!

3. Debra herself has also asked that we spread her name one friend at a time.
She beleives in speaking one on one, explaining to each friend why they should vote for her, and apparently it works.

4. This race will make or break the future of U.S. elections!
The importance of electing Bowen for Secretary of State of California cannot be overstated.

Florida was the first domino. Ohio was the second. As soon as Ohio fell to GOP corruption, the Neocons set their sights on California. Their goal: make California a red state. The installation of Schwarzenegger as governor and Bruce McPherson as Secretary of State are significant parts of that plan. Election protections put in place by our Democratic SOS Kevin Shelley--the first (only?) SOS in the country to decertify Diebold--were rescinded. Riggable, hackable voting systems have been certified by the State, leaving counties no good option for complying with the Help America Vote Act and instead forcing them to choose election systems that guarantee inconclusive election results. (See this thread for more on that.)

Enter Debra Bowen. She understands the precipice upon which our Democracy now teeters. As Secretary of State, she will have the tools to tilt California back onto firm ground before we plummet off the cliff and shatter upon the rocks of faciscm lying below.

Without Bowen, the GOP will very likely be able to complete its plan to steal the election system from the people of California. Add that to Florida and Ohio and you have a total of 100 electoral votes sewn up with the GOP's evil thread. Am I exaggerating to say that it would mean a permanent hold on the federal government by the GOP?

With stakes this high, what sort of behavior can we expect from the Neocons?

We must elect Bowen. We must elect her by a wide enough margin that even rigged voting machines and massive disenfranchisement will not be enough to steal the election from her.

I am not Debra Bowen and she has not approved this message.

6. What does Debra have to
lose in asking for a recount? She certainly could do it, but will she? Is she with us or against us when it comes to the vote stealing machine, she should and most certainly could demand a hand recount, If she was serious about all them "HEARINGS" on the vote theft machines, nows the time to MAKE A STAND.
