All across the country, the Republicans are sending out flyers with false information on them, to either discourage people from voting, or to send them to the wrong voting precinct. Because they are all so similar, this could only be a coordinated effort.

I'm not going to comment on why this is wrong. It's just plain to see, and it's ILLEGAL. In most cases it is a felony to do anything like this.

I would like you to take a look for yourself, with your own eyes.

This is an outrage. We must not let this go without an investigation. It's obvious where these are coming from. The persons and organizations must be brought to justice. This will only happen if everyone becomes aware and demands an investigation. Please pass this on to everyone you know and don't let this story fade away. Write to your representatives and demand an investigation, especially if you live in the states where these examples are being sent out.

"Please be advised that if you were registered in this capacity that you will not be able to vote until the next election." Well, of course a newly registered voter can't vote until the next election. What the hell are they going to vote on if there's no election? The authors of the flyer obviously want confused voters to think that by 'the next election' they mean 'the election after the one coming up.' What the words actually say, however, is that the voters are perfectly entitled to vote the next time the ballots open. Presumably, the flyer authors think this will get them out of any trouble for spreading misinformation.

...the other ones are blatantly illegal and I agree that the tactics are decidedly Rovesque.

The first one worries me a bit more, however, because I think it may skirt the edge of legality while largely achieving the same objectives as the more hamfistedly obvious ones.

I agree that a proper investigation of this crap is long overdue.

Send the photos to local and national police along with the flyers (since it is a crime to hand them out). Since the police may not act, also send the photos and flyers to local and national election officials. Also send the pictures and flyers to local papers and news stations.

Everyone has a cell phone that takes photos now, some even videotape. This would put areal damper on election activities like these.
