BOOK CLUB: Nominations for August Book
Yikes, I forgot about this!

Let's run this through next week, polling sometime around the 22nd.

You can nominate only one book but you can second as many titles as you like.

1. A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn
I know a lot of people have already probably read it, but those who haven't need to. If you haven't already had this one as a book club title now is the time.

3. Homegrown Democrat
I nominate Homegrown Democrat by Garrison Keillor. It is an easy read, funny, and makes some good points. A good book for the dog days of summer.

11. I second this one
I saw this book at the bookstore and as a future teacher, it really interested me. I worked in a Kidergarten classroom last year and even at age 5 (and in a low income school) these kids were into video games and the latest movies. It was pretty amazing to see the most hyper kids who could not sit still at all, sit and be quiet while they watched a video.
