American Idol

My biggest concession to pop culture is to watch AI.

All I can say is--

So talented, so everything. The sky's the limit for David Cook. Yes, American Idol is a cheesy format, at best, but it is worth the crap to see some of the performances, and especially those of the winner this year, who is a completely engaging individual as well. My favorites--

The judges were pimping his 17 year old competitor after the finals, and did the voters ever get it right! In a big way!

I almost turned it off after the movie promotion....ugh. The marching band thing I wanted to hate, too, but it was actually a riot.

Another highlight was Jason Castro doing Halleluia. He was extremely talented as well, but often performed as if he wanted to get booted off the show, and he did.
