Vatican will excommunicate female priests
Explicit decree punishes women, bishops who ordain them

VATICAN CITY - The Vatican issued its most explicit decree so far against the ordination of female priests on Thursday, punishing them and the bishops who try to ordain them with automatic excommunication.

The decree was written by the Vatican's Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and published in the Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano, giving it immediate effect.

A Vatican spokesman said the decree made the church's existing ban on female priests more explicit by clarifying that excommunication would follow all such ordinations.

8. Controlling women is what they're all about
Women are evil, yanno, occasions of sin for poor males who can't be expected to take responsibility for their actions, vessels of sin and iniquity useful only for either being virgins or producing them.

And people wonder why I was outta there at the age of ten.

5. According to their own rules, God calls one to be a priest.
Maybe, with the great desire of Catholic women for ordination, God is trying to tell the Church something!

9. The ordaining of female priests will not be occurring any time soon.
There would have to be a major Papally-approved upheaval in the Church--something on par with Vatican II--before we see married priests, female priests, gay marriages, or any such changes.
