With interest in prophecy high, TBN adds end times show to its lineup
Paul Crouch, Jr., Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN)'s Chief of Staff, says that public interest in end times prophecy is at an all time high, so his station is going to air a weekly end times show. TBN is the world's largest religious broadcaster and boasts millions of viewers across six continents.

I guess we can quit with the "Its just a few fundamentalists and a guy who owns a radio network that believe this" now, right?

Sorry folks, this is NOT just a "few" christians that believe this.

8. Rare?
You have no insight into what has long since been happening in Americas ecumenical seminaries and in thousands of churches.

9. I have insight as to why gay marriage is illegal in the us.
I have insight as to why less than half of Americans believe in evolution.

10. Why aren't these
enlightened seminarians out there countering this destructive balderdash.
Why do I see troglodytes like Rick Warren welcomed with open arms?

2. Anyone who thinks that only a few people
believe in that "prophecy" bullshit needs to visit the South. It's hard to have a conversation about current events down here without someone chiming in about the coming Apocalypse.

4. It might come down to perception from what the person lives
I live in the DC metro region so I would get the impression that most people (including Christians) dismiss the May 21st people as stupid. I suppose that in other regions the percentage of people who buy into the May 21st story is higher.

This May 21st stuff is fucking stupid regardless of the number of people who believe in this. This stuff is laughable as long as these people don't go out shooting others or go blowing shit up on the 21st. I would not put anything past these loons.

7. The problem is that in our society
it is deemed impolite and not proper to call it bullshit. Sure there are some atheist provocateurs who say it. But no major political figure, from the President on down, and no major media figure will come out an say this is just silly bullshit and people should get a grip. Since it's religion and belief, it's out of bounds.
