Think you were going to be done with Rapture madness on May 21? Think again...
As you know, a sect of end timers believes the end is coming on May 21, but if you look at their "book" you'll see that they actually give themselves 5 months for something to happen.

"8. In the year 2011, what is the last day of the feast of tabernacles (feast
of the Bible)? We have learned that it occurs on October 21, 2011. Thus, there
are five months, consisting of 153 days of our calendar, during which time the
events of Mark 13:24-27 must take place. Indeed, immediately, we are
encouraged that we probably have arrived at a correct understanding of the
unfolding of the events that lead to the end of the world. In Revelation 9, God
speaks of a period of five months that identifies with the time when the sun is
darkened and judgment has begun. And 153 days, May 21 to October 21, are
exactly five months."

That's right. Five more months for them to milk suckers for all they got after nothing happens on May 21.

1. I wish they WOULD get raptured.
I think I'd rather go through the Tribulation than deal with these folks much longer.

5. I saw them in NYC yesterday and assumed they were NYers.
But I heard about the "caravan." I'm guessing a lot of them are out of towners which is no surprise. A few didn't look like they were from here.

4. But if there is no evidence of rapture ....
If the holiest of the pious are still walking the earth on the 22nd, wouldn't that deflate the tires on that rickety jalopy ?

6. It never has.
They've been predicting the end of the world since Jesus (supposedly) told his followers that it would happen during their lifetimes. Two millenia later, those predictions keep coming.

7. I understand ...
But it's a two step process ... you have to have rapture, then a waiting period, then an apocalypse ....

No rapture = no beginning to the entire process .... The October date gets tossed aside ....

11. That depends...
On whether you're a Pre-Millenial Dispensationalist, a Post-Millenialist or an Amiliienalist. Or may a hypermillenialist.

And I'm not about to try explaining that crap. I'm an atheist convinced that I only have one short life.

8. It'd be a lot of fun to take a bunch of clothes and position them outside
while these folks are in church on Sun morning (22nd) - have them laying around as those the bodies were raptured as they were walking into the church. Can you imagine the looks on the faces of the ones who thought they got left behind?
