Non-Christian DUer's check-in thread
I spent the night of the rapture with the Flaming Lips and LED hula hoop dancers at a music festival.

It was great.

1. Another pointless thread.
I'm a non-Christian, but this is just pointless and divisive.

2. Then share what you did May 21, 2011.

"where were you when that Camping guy said..."

It doesn't have to be a hatefest, just a check-in. I'm mostly just being goofy since I would normally never make a thread like this.

5. I was at work.
I was unloading a truck at the time and didn't notice the time had passed until a quarter to seven.

6. I was at a local Vietnamese restaurant
It's always crowded in the evenings there, and it seemed just as crowded as usual.

8. I was at a Rapture Party.
Almost 200 people at the Tiki Bar on Lauderdale-by-the-Sea Beach.

I helium filled "body" tried to get raptured. There was Karaoke, horseshoes and a good time by all.

We had a belly dancer and some fire spinners too.

12. It was -- we're looking forward to future predictions.
The end of the world is always a reason to party. (Moderation should be observed of course.) Doomsday predictions are not rare. Atheists don't have a lot of traditional holidays. It's a perfect match. :)

13. An agnostic here. Not anti-Christian, just "dunno."
I spent the evening of the 21st on the computer, noting occasionally in jest to my family "my gosh, the world hasn't ended" and "there are no reports of thousands of people going missing."

Hey, I don't mind the idea of an afterlife, of a paradise for that matter -- but at any rate, and continuation of consciousness after I'm dead. But I dunno, and do know that wishing doesn't make it so. And I am sure that "end times" and "left behind" claims are loads of b.s. -- as any rational person, Xian or not, should realize.

14. Most Christians don't believe in the rapture.
Anyway, hello. I spent the night of the 20th/21st forgetting all about it.

I noticed that the thread started by the local Persecuted Minority Religion is about 4 times as big as this one.

16. I was laying claim to the 35,000 sq ft Evangelical Mega-church down the street.
Much to the surprise of the congregation who were waiting to be raptured. I walked in and was asked "have you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal savior?" I said "No, I'm checking out my new strip club." The puzzled looks only took a moment to change into realization of what I was getting at.

Needless to say, there will NOT be a new nudie bar going in anytime soon. :(

22. Not Christian (or any religion) - but have to say that I don't know anyone in the UK, Christian or
not, who believes in the 'Rapture' in the sense that it seems to be used here.

Is it some specific denominations who believe in this?
