They haven't even took the time to see if the accusation was true.
Whether that matters or not, take it up with the Spanish churches, who may be ran by people with different values than here or elsewhere.

Besides, measuring his anus now would only prove his point if they had taken an anus measurement at some point in the past so they could have something to compare it to. And even then he could have had cosmetic surgery like those Muslim women who want to become virgins again.

Andres Garcia Torres has recently been removed as pastor of Nuestra Señora de Fátima de Fuenlabrada in the Diocese of Getafe, on suspicion of homosexual activity, based on a photograph that seems to show Torres and another man shirtless and in close contact. The actual meaning of the photograph has been disputed. The comment in the OP subject line does not appear in most press reports: it could be factual, or it could be a tabloid fabrication, since I haven't found a more extended quote or any indication of exactly when and where it was supposedly said. Parishioners had been demonstrating in support of the pastor and may have collected thousands of signatures on his behalf.

In this article, the pastor really doesn't sound like much of a gay rights activist:

Ahora, la pregunta que quizá muchos se están haciendo ¿qué hace un cura tomándose una foto sin camisa con un chico? ¿acaso no han sido suficientes todas las polémicas en las que se han visto sumergidos? A la vista de cualquier persona, apuntaría a que el sacerdote sí es homosexual.
