1. Interesting, but a little confusing.
"The Prophet Muhammad is the most magnificent example who inherits the most appalling situation - in Arabia at the time there was a bloodbath - and brings peace out of it. And at a great personal cost to himself".

If I'm not mistaken, Muhammad led bloody raids in Medina and elsewhere and greatly increased his wealth, etc.

"At the height of Islam's power, Muslim theologians were so pluralistic and daring and affirmative and inspiring; people like Ibn Arabi and Rumi".

If I'm not mistaken, Islam spread rapidly in the 7th-10th centuries through military conquests.

Not just picking on Muslims here, but she really seems to see with rose colored glasses.

3. Always struck me as the Joseph Smith type....
goes into a cave, talks to angels in secret, and comes out with a book that glorifies and enriches himself.
