Here is a thread on Churches assisting Katrina survivors in The Gulf Coast

DUer Plaid Adder's series on organizations rebuilding the Katrina-ravaged Gulf continues today with two Christian groups who take Christ's words to heart.

While we may not have much to give, there is never any shame in the giving.

I myself have only been able to write a $10.00 check to one of the churches, but also know that hundreds of us together can create wealth beyond any we have in the bank.

And as there are those who truly can't even afford $5, please consider keeping the thread kicked so that those who can give are given a better opportunity to view it.

And Plaid's idea was a brilliant stroke! So often, we intend to donate, but it takes many reminders before folks get down to actually donating. that's just the way it often works, most folks are busier than heck and it can slip away.
