Neil Diamond live singing Sweet Caroline in the 8th...
Orel talking about Bugs Bunnies and bed wetters?

I'm gonna remember this game. Especially if the Red Sox keep the lead and win it.

Ho Ho Ho!

1. This is almost as bad as John Madden slobbering all over Bret Favre.

5. Can Someone Explain This, Please?
What is the deal with that song? Is that a Fenway tradition or something? I don't get this thread nor do i get the commercial for the game on ESPN.

6. It's Fenway tradition now, but it's a fairly new one.
I don't know when it started, but they'd play in (I think) the 8th inning IF the Sox were ahead, as they thought it had brought them luck in the past when it was played...when they were ahead. Now, it's tradition and played every 8th inning.

7. The song is about Caroline Kennedy
That might have something to do with its popularity in Boston.

8. Neil Diamond only told the world last year that it was about Caroline Kennedy.
So that's not why they started singing it.
