Lawrence Taylor arrested for raping a 15 year old

SUFFERN, N.Y. - Football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor was arrested Thursday in connection with a reported rape in the New York City suburbs, police said. The victim reportedly was a 15-year-old girl who was beaten during the attack.

Ramapo Detective Lt. Brad Weidel said the former New York Giants linebacker had not been formally charged, but that police were investigating a reported rape that occurred earlier Thursday at a hotel in Montebello.

Ramapo Supervisor Christopher St. Lawrence told the Journal News that the victim was a 15-year-old runaway who was brought by a pimp to the hotel where Taylor was staying.

"She was a runaway since March and there was a pimp involved," St. Lawrence told the Lower Hudson Valley newspaper. "She got punched in the face. We're not sure who did it."

I see no indication that the pimp is being charged, too.

They might be able to get him on the underage thing, but this case has reasonable doubt built into it already.

Lawrence Taylor may claim that he committed a "masturbatory act" while with a 16-year-old prostitute, TMZ reports...Taylor will claim that he pleasured himself, but will deny having sex with the girl he was arrested for raping.

...Taylor could still be convicted of a Class E felony even if he did not have sexual intercourse with the teenager... (link)

The 16-year-old prostitute, who claimed to have sex with ex-Giant Lawrence Taylor, has reportedly told a friend that the encounter was "easy money" because she "didn't even have to f--- him."

According to investigators, the friend, who drove the teenage prostitute to meet Taylor late at night on Wednesday, May 5, told police that "they didn't have sex, she's lying and he's innocent."

Taylor was charged with a third-degree rape on May 6 after his alleged tryst with an underage prostitute in a Rockland Country Hotel. The age of consent in New York is 17-years-old. Taylor was freed on $75,000 bond the same day he was charged.

The teen also told her friend that she and Taylor did not engage in intercourse or oral sex - he masturbated in front of the teen before paying her $300. After Taylor's arrest, she told reporters she feared for her life if she didn't have sex with Taylor.

I'm sorry but that report smells very fishy given what was reported.

This friend must either be a friend of the pimp also, or the victim did not go there against her will and gave herself a black eye. Either way, the friend is now an accomplice, but that's a minor sacrifice--Taylor's credibility must be preserved at all costs. However, if it's true that possession is nine-tenths of the law, how is the defense going to explain victim's possessing three hundred dollars AND a black eye?
