Mets take two of three from the Frisco Ginats
Not like I really give a fuck.

If it had been the other way around I'm sure CBuptonoy would be hooten and hollerin all over this board. Just figured I'd throw it out there. Not like I consider beating Frisco a major accomplishment. After all, I've at least seen my team win a championship to know what it feels like.

National League from the since defunct New York Ginats?

That's San Francisco.

Unlike New York, which needs a whole fist full of them, San Francisco does not need a world championship to be a great city.

I have yet to be in SF, but NY kicks all kinds of ass in so many ways. I may hate the Yankees, but I couldn't love the city any more than I do. New York is being alive, something a boatload of cities will never capture (Hello L.A.!). NY doesn't need any rings to be awesome either. And this from a Boston guy.

Chicago is a hell of a city as well, and the closest to Boston in attitude of any city I've been in.

5. New York has many, many fine points, BUT . . .
. . . they lose them all when we factor in the demerits for Wall Street.

8. The Mets are considered the Long Island baseball team
not the city team. That distinction rests with the Yankees and THEY ARE Wall Street's baseball team.

7. Lived in San Fran for most of the eighties and loved every minute..
Been to NY a hundred times and loved every minute of it....

Lived in Dallas... hated every minute of it...

Lived in KC...loved it until December...

Grew up in Miami---loved it between 10pm until 4pm...

Live in Orlando--- older now--- more mellow---- don't really love it here but kids in Junior High and High School and I have no choice.
