Free DRF Preakness Past Performances download link (pdf)

http://www.drf.com/tc/preakness/2010/pps/preakness2010classic.pdf

Profiles of the 12 runners by post position with links to video replays of recent prep races:
http://www.drf.com/tc/preakness/2010/post-positions.html

The 5 returning Derby horses drew outside posts (6-7-8-10-12) Doesn't appear to be any clear early speed in the race, pace should not be as much of a factor as it was in the Derby.

Condem: in response to your query: "will any jock have the balls to keep Borel off the rail?"--I don't see any Cordero's, Pincay's or Bailey's in this race, you? Borel may have to go to the lead to get the rail here, IMHO. I'd be interested to hear how you, or any other DUer's, see it.

1. This is a tough one to handicap....
I see Caracotado up close early and Jackson Bend's trainer wants him more forwardly placed this time. The distance should be to Super Saver's liking and Derby winners have done well in the Preakness over the last 20 years. I guess I have to like Super Saver here.

Borel will probably get a rail trip if he wants it.

2. I am looking at Paddy O' Prado

Paddy was coming on like gangbusters in the Derby, and was nipped by Ice Box by a neck at the finish line. Running line says Paddy swerved out, then in, and still just missed second. Think Kenny D. will have Paddy more in the garden spot this time around.

Was lucky that Ice Box nipped Paddy at the Derby; had the exacta 1.5 times :-)

Think will use Super Saver and Paddy in exact box and partial wheel both for the tri.

Good luck tomorrow and many thanks for posting the PPs and Contender profiles.

7. Yawanna Twist?
$5 WPS on the longshot. I don't like the faves to win. Also played some tri's & exacta's.

8. Borel blew this race...
he didn't think that speed horse would go as far as he did and tried to hustle his horse into the first turn and then pressed pretty fast fractions. Yes, Super Saver came up empty. Fuck how hard he ran in the Derby and the fact that he's not a big horse. Calvin didn't give his horse a chance.
