The freaking Sharks got swept...
I'm really finding this to be hard to believe.
They beat my Av's and I thought they were ready to roll.

Instead, they rolled over.

1. Sucks the way it ended
but the Sharks had a good season..making it to the WCF for only the second time in their history and knocking out the hated Red Wings along the way..

They just ran into a team with a hot goaltender that's just a bit better than they are. No one can accuse them of choking or rolling over. Unless of course you're a sniveling disgruntled Avs fan..

8. A team with a hot UNDRAFTED goaltender
that, you may recall, finished BEHIND them.

And the Cup was sitting right there for the taking, with only a 7 or 8 from the East awaiting. Such a chance will never come again. :(

6. Yeah, pretty fucking sad isn't it? Before that, it was the Nuggets...
NBA?
I jump bandwagons, and since I live in Orlando I figured what the hell.

Orlando just bent over and said have it Boston, because WE got nothing.
Don't even want to be here and I expect no less an effort on Monday night.
They suck.

Now, back to the Sharks.

Last time I looked UPTON the Av's have had their share of Shark Meat, so bite me.
Win a cup.
Or TWO.
Like the Av's and THEN what YOU have to say will actually matter.
Until then?

BROOM

7. Bay Area EPIC FAIL.
Wings fans presumably feel your pain about losing to those nobodies. :wtf:

And still no titles in any sport out here since the Niners in, um, er, 1994. Thanks a lot, scuzzballs. Enjoy your goddamn tee time tomorrow. :grr: :banghead: :argh:

10. I'm glad they lost.
They've only been around 19 years. Chicago's on a 54-year drought. If the Sharks' fans can't tough it out a few more years, then they're all bandwagon jumpers.

Oh, and the Sharks can only routinely score on a 5-3 power play, so, strangely, when the referees stopped giving it to them on the dives, their strategy fell apart!!

12. The officiating was truly awful in the Detroit series
And I don't mean it was all against Detroit; there were plenty of phantom calls against the Sharks, too. The difference was that the Sharks were money on their power play at home, so whistle-happy refs gave them their opening, and they get all the credit for taking advantage.

I wonder how many teams got outscored while winning a 5-game series?

But in any case, I'm not the surprised at all to see Chicago sweep. Not only are they playing better, they have a date with destiny: the Hossa hex. Which implies they, like the Wings last year and the Pens the year before, are destined to lose in the final ;)
