3. Just remember Joey
Winning doesn't make a douchebag less of a douchebag. Nice guys finish last is a truism in the ego maniacal NBA. Miami likely winning it all is par for the Douchbag Central that is the NBA.
FWIW, I am now a HUGE fan of Rajon Rondo. Can you imagine if Princeling James had hurt his elbow? He'd be screaming for mommy.
I'm rooting for local boy Kevin Durant and the Thunder.

4. What exactly makes him a douchebag??
He hasn't hurt anyone. He hasn't killed anyone. He hasn't raped anyone.

He went to a better team. That makes him a douchebag?? If you're a fan of the Cavs you should be pissed that the owner did nothing to help LeBron do what he wanted to do - WIN.

As for Rondo - have you actually seen the play where he got hurt?? He was pulling Dwyane Wade down and he was hurt in the process. It was a stupid play by a dirty player. That little gnat gets to put his hands all over everyone he is up against and it's OK. No fouls called. It was a physical game the last 2 games. Miami just handled the situation better.

6. Agree and disagree
Edited on Tue May-10-11 02:46 PM by JonLP24
Agree about about James. I think reason Durant or anyone that stays with the same team is have a good team and a plan. Durant had talented young players in Russell Westbrook, James Harden, and Jeff Green(at the time of his resigning). Also from an article I read earlier, the players on the team actually enjoy Oklahoma City. It is quiet and they spend most of their free time at each other's houses. Have BBQs and play video games from what I've read. Probably helps to be closer as a team. Anyways it is a business that has rules everyone has to play by. I don't think people who think James is a bad guy because he left Cleveland would probably advocate their team releasing or trading player who isn't playing as well as they would like.

Disagree in part with Rondo. On that play there was a loose ball and Wade was in-front of Rondo. He was trying to block his path to the ball and Rondo was trying to force his way around Wade and they knocked each other down. But the fall happened when Rondo was trying to get around Wade. I wouldn't call that a dirty play, especially in the playoffs. There's going to be some hard fouls.

However I wouldn't put Rondo in a shining light at least compared to James. When Boston was at home against Phoenix earlier this season. Boston had a large lead in the closing seconds and Rondo shot a 3-pointer. That kind of thing violates one of the unwritten rules and I'm not sure why unwritten rules are met with retaliation like a pitcher hitting a batter with a ball. Jared Dudley gave Rondo a foul when he took that 3-point attempt.

7. Websters defines Doucehbag as follows:
An arrogant, worthless dumbass who thinks manuevering behind the scenes and screwing people over and then announcing it on national television and who thinks that because he does it then it's more important than the Second Coming.

8. Who exactly did he screw over??
The Cavs??

No the owner of the Cavs screwed them over.

And everyone in sports is arrogant.

Are you upset that LeBron didn't want to go to the Celtics?? Aww this is what this is all about. You are a jealous douchebag. Just like Trumad's post says. Suck it!! He chose to play for the Heat.

19. Heat are a most enjoyable franchise to root for
Nice arena on the water. Tee shirt giveaways. Had nothing to do with the Orange Bowl's demise.

In the old days animosity had to be earned, and was mostly sensible. Now it's like a group head bang.
