Robert 'Tractor' Traylor found dead
Former NBA player Robert "Tractor" Traylor was found dead Wednesday on the bedroom floor of his oceanfront apartment in San Juan, Puerto Rico, police said.

Traylor had been missing for three days before friends went to visit him and found his body, according to police and Vaqueros de Bayamon, his team in Puerto Rico.

He apparently had a heart attack, the team and police said.

Traylor was not active for Vaqueros, as he was rehabbing a heel injury. He underwent a surgical procedure on his heart in 2005.

1. Sad news
I remember watching him at Michigan. He was very good in college. Didn't see him much in the pros, only remember him playing for the Bucks.

6. saw him play for the bucks
he really seemed to be having fun out there, granted he played to win, but he looked like a big kid out there. generous with his time for the local charities too. my parents met him at a make-a-wish event and EVERYONE, kids, adults, old, young, loved him. he was like the gilbert brown of the milwaukee bucks. big man, bigger heart.

vaya con dios.

Former U-M coach Steve Fisher reflects on 'dear friend' Robert Traylor
Eric Lacy / / The Detroit News

Former Michigan basketball coach Steve Fisher, now with San Diego State, refuses to associate Robert Traylor's name with controversy.

Fisher remembers Traylor, who was found dead Wednesday in Puerto Rico, as a kind-hearted spirit with a devotion for his grandmother, a love for his coaches and teammates, and leadership skills on and off that court that demanded respect.

"Robert was one of my all-time favorite young men," Fisher told The Detroit News on Wednesday. "He was more than just a basketball player. He was one of my favorite people. He is loved by those that he cared for and was like none other.

"The relationship I witnessed between him and his grandmother is like what every son should have with their mother. He always made someone feel like they were the most important person in the room."
