Although quarterback Jason Campbell originally said he and his Raiders teammates wouldn't be giving out details of their workouts next week - "We know, all that matters," he tweeted - the where, when and how have been "leaked." Roughly 25 players will be gathering in Duluth, Ga., at Competitive Edge Sports for a four-day passing camp Tuesday through May 27.
Defensive tackle Richard Seymour issued a news release (through his management firm) with the dates and times. Seymour, who organized the camp with Campbell, is personally funding the camp, the statement said. Seymour will lead the defense, and Campbell will direct the offense in workouts. In other Bay Area NFL news, 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh has given a playbook to free agent QB (wait for it)...
Alex Smith!:wtf:
Yup, seems like
Alex Smith :wtf: will be in San Francisco at least one more year to grace us with his winning ways.
Apparently
Alex Smith :wtf: is comfortable with the West Coast style of offense Harbaugh will be introducing. And the 49ers only have one QB currently signed on the roster -- David Carr. Can't start Colin Kaepernick, of course. Could sign a free agent, but then there's that short learning curve with the lockout.
Alex Smith... :wtf:
