NHL: Thrashers on the move?

It was on the scroll on ESPN that the Thrashers were definitely moving from Atlanta to Winnipeg. Now Bettman's saying it's not a done deal, but other sources are saying it may as well be.

I'm not a hockey fan, but I know there's interest here in the forum.

I feel bad for Atlanta's fans (again...this would be the second time an NHL team has left the city), but Manitoba is certainly some serious hockey country. Could be fun. :)

Imagine the Atlanta Thrashers Winnipeg Jets vs. the Atlanta Calgary Flames.

Or better still, a "Western Conference Story" matchup between the Jets and the San Jose Sharks. :-)

2. I really wish they would have sent the Coyotes back
Justice would have been served. Besides, I checked last year and only three of the Coyotes were from the U.S. I'm surprised the Arizona legislature puts up with that nest of potentially illegal aliens down there in Glendale!

Either way, I'm glad for Winnipeg.

Whether it be Atlanta or Phoenix, the Jets need to come back.
