1. Yes
Because we can't be having more than one National on an all star team no matter how good they play. Don't ever tell ne about East Coast bias with Bochy. He's a fucking idiot- first Ethier now this. Apparently no one good in the NL exists beyond California to him.

3. An absolute effing disgrace
The Nats have two players more deserving--Espinosa and Morse. Espinosa twice the athlete--and better stats for the most part.

6. Bochy doesn't have to justify his selections..
The Giants won the WS last year...so their manager gets to pick who he wants. That's what I kept being told around here, possibly even by you, when Charlie Manuel left the Panda off the team in '09

Look, Pablo has got a 20 game hitting streak..and is currently batting .305/.345/.505.

His selection is well deserved..

7. Bullshit, he has played in 49 games--not effing qualified
Bochy has turned the game into a little reward fest for his boys. An absolute disgrace.

9. Answer me this..
Do you know of a manager who hasn't used the All Star game as a way to reward his own players? It's the way it works. You don't like it..have the Nats win at least the NL pennant.

10. Not like this-snubs many players much more qualified
for a fatboy who has played in just over HALF the games.

12. There are teams in last place with more players on the team
than the Nats. Why is that do you think? The Dodgers are clearly sooo much better and also contenders for the title..:sarcasm:

16. The Dodgers players deserved to be there
so did your players but not everyone can make it. I agree Panda shouldn't have been chosen over Morse, but get over it. There will be more all-star games.

btw, if the Natinals played their home games at Dodger Stadium, they'd have a worse record probably.

17. Is that why the Nationals have a winning record against the NL West?
Including the Giants, including a winning road trip recently? I can make a case for every team in the NL East being better than the first place Giants. If the Nats played in Dodger stadium they'd be in first place in the NL west- their team ERA is I think 4th or 5th in the NL and offense is better than the Giants.

15. So you support nepotism
instead of merit in selecting all-stars?

I think Sandoval is a fine player, will have a great career, but he missed too many games to be considered.

I totally get your upset over this. Reminds me of 1982, when Cleveland's Toby Harrah, the player with the most hits in baseball, was snubbed for All-Star selection. I was pissed. No question Morse played more games and is a worthy candidate to represent the Nationals. And I'm not going to defend Bochy's selection, but I would like to point out a couple facts about Pablo that may be unnoticed by non-Giants fans.

1): He's worked his ass off -- literally -- over the winter. Yeah, he still looks chubby, but he's playing a great third base, has great reflexes and instincts, great throwing range, and is running the bases well. He's matured into a real pro.

2): He's swinging a hot bat, as Upton has pointed out in other posts -- 20 game hitting streak as of July 9th.

3): Bochy may feel Sandoval gives him greater depth on the field -- he plays third, first, and can catch if need be.

That is all. Continue rant.

:)

13. It's not even all about the Nats--other teams too
As to your point- Morse plays multiple positions also.

14. Yes, it's true
It's also true that he hit an RBI double in his well deserved all-star debut.

18. Wait what's this? Clippard tells it like it is---
unlike Baby Huey who apparently whined his way on to the team, and why? He had a good year like 3 years ago.

Here you go: http://www.natsenquirer.com

Scroll down a little for his quote.
