1. From what I've seen, LSU and Bama are, by far, the two best out there.
Here's hoping they meet in the Championship game. Providing this weekend isn't too one-sided, which I highly doubt.

2. It'll be something. I lived in Bama for awhile, and know how intense it is...

3. I hope one team obliterates the other...
and I don't care which one. I can't decide who's a bigger douche, Miles or Saban.

4. Satan is probably the bigger douche--
Miles is probably more of a nut.

5. Yeah, maybe you're right...
the problem with Saban is that I look at him and I see my former advisor (the resemblance is eerie). My advisor is not Satan...

But I think you're probably spot on.

6. why?
I'm curious what makes Saban so hated, as I've never understood it.

Ol' Nick + Saban (Satan). Personally, I kind of like Saban, and as far as his perceived douchiness (douchitude?), or, even better, his assholishness is concerned, it is probably a great asset at a place like Alabama. In addition to his duties as head coach, he has to deal with insanely intense local media coverage, overly-demanding, fickle fans, and various alumni and boosters that have no sense of proportion or boundaries, so I guess a little bit of the machiavellian touch is a necessary evil.

He is also said to be a Democrat, and doesn't seem to be overtly or at least not overly religious, which are definite pluses, in my book, at least.

Now, as for Les Miles:

he is a nut.

On edit: Had to tweak a bit to get Les to dance.

8. Isn't that the way it was more or less ten years ago. A couple of minor tweaks
and it looks reasonable if it had been ten years ago. Except for bringing in ND and getting rid of Penn State and Iowa, the big 10 goes back to the way it was. Actually, I'd rather have Iowa than ND/Penn State. Something called tradition!

9. Heartland Heavy Hitters (HHH) would be a much better name
USA Today should hire me as a consultant. I will give them Republicon rates (10x what I am worth).

10. Public enemy number one should be Oklahoma State
They have considerable potential to win out and then ruin the BCS title game. It reminds me of last year when Auburn sensed it was their best chance in decades and they got over the hump at Alabama via more confidence and intensity. Oklahoma State could easily follow the same blueprint at Oklahoma and win that game as underdog.

Oklahoma State wouldn't hold up physically against an SEC team, particularly Alabama.

14. Houston should be way higher than it is ranked.
Sorry, but 8-0 should get you above 13.
But then again, it's all bullshit anyway. :hi:
