Marge's baseball memorabilia ready
BY JANE PRENDERGAST | ENQUIRER STAFF WRITER
Marge Schott’s baseball memorabilia goes up for sale Friday, and there’ll be plenty for buyers and curiosity seekers.

The former Cincinnati Reds owner had a lot of big items – a bronze sculpture of Pete Rose, 1990 World Series trophies and uniforms actually worn by Rose, Eric Davis and others.

But she kept boxes and boxes of small things, too, from bobble-head dolls to greeting cards from fans and scrapbooks. Many of the smaller things will be sold by the box.

The auction starts at 1 p.m., but the items will be out for viewing at 10 a.m. in the Starlite Ballroom, 5994 Linneman St., California.

3. Yeah, I wondered about that, too
Apparently this auction was only for the baseball memorabilia. There had already been auctions of her other stuff -- I would imagine Jean Schmidt was probably the first in line for the Nazi items. Cincinnati is home to some baseball greats but also to some really lowlife scum politicians: Taft, Blackwell, Schmidt, etc. Marge Schott would feel right at home with these scumbags. And now Bush will be in Cincy tomorrow to throw out the first pitch.

:puke:
