What do people think about Dirk's 50 point game on Thursday?

1. I think the guy is awesome
I'm hoping it's the Heat and the Mavs... That would be a killer series...

3. It would be a great series.
The last game was huge. It was, as you said, awesome. Still, his game before that was not. At this point, it is going to come down to who can play at the highest level more games in a row. While I like all teams, and will be happy no matter who wins the championship, it seems like the Heat may have the physical talent to play at that higher level in four games, before the Mavs do. It's fascinating for me to watch how these gifted athletes play when they are tired (and sick, and with little injuries). It seems to me -- though I recognize I am no "expert" at all, as boxing is my sport -- that it takes an enormous toll on a team physically to play a series against the Heat. In boxing, it's very hard to defend yourself when you are out of breath. Same thing in b-ball, I think.

2. Amazing!
Hat's off to two of the NBA's "big men" -- Shaq and Dirk -- for making the game so fun to watch.

4. Actually---it will be Wade that will steal the show
The guy is easily one of the top 3 B-Ball players in the league.

5. But Wade's play didn't surprise me
I expected that young man to be spectacular. I wasn't quite sure how Shaq would perform.

8. Yep
My questions about Shaq's performance centered on motivation. Yes, he's older, heavier, been through the wars with Kobe and the Lakers. I just wondered if he still had the fire, the hunger for a championship. Still looks to me like there's a fire there and that was good to see.

9. regardless of who i root for
I'll root for Shaq. he just seems like a good guy, and he strikes me as the last of a generation of godlike basketball players that I grew up with

6. It was amazing...
quite a rude shock to see his next performance, but he picked it up in time.

These games have been amazing to watch.
