1. Yeah I'm so pissed off that we don't get the rest of the month off work.
But what can you do?

2. That game was at 5PM GMT
Which is annoying as I had to catch the first three goals in the office, charge back home (or rather swear at the traffic for 30 minutes) get back in, breath a sigh of relief that I only missed Klose's second, and enjoy the rest of the game!

Phew! And they had the cheek to play a really entertaining first game too!

3. The new ball is really a strikers dream
and a goalie's nightmare. Two of Germany's goals, particularly the first, were shos that one might see just a few times in a cup. I suspect we'll see many more this year. I'm not sure I like that but more goals will keep the American fan more interested.

4. One thing I have noticed...
...is the number of times players have shot on sight in an effort to score with the sort of spectacular curling shot that Frings scored from. You are dead right about the ball.

6. Slight problem there
I work out in the sticks, and as such it's not really pratical for me to be heading straight down the pub after work. :-(
