ESPN can kiss my ass
The World Champion Chicago White Sox are playing the First place St. Louis Cardinals this week, and ESPN is showing the Yankees and the Phillies on Wedenesday night baseball. What is up with this endless east coast bias that they have? Well ESPN, I won't watch any more east coast crap since you seem to want to shove the Yankees, Red Sox, and Mets down our throats. As already stated, the ChiSox are WORLD SERIES CHAMPS and the Cardinals are in first place. So go ahead and show all the east coast games you want, us out here in the heartland will rest in the knowledge that there is some fine baseball being played out here as well.

1. They're just going by ratings
Obviously East coast teams like the Yankees and the Red Sox give ESPN better ratings. And we'll see even more of midwestern teams next year when ESPN cuts back on MLB coverage.

2. Tigers played the Cubs last weekend (first place Tiges)
and I couldn't even get Saturday's game on the baseball package I pay money for!

3. That's what happens when you're a "surpise" team...
althought the Tigers are no surprise to me. Alas, no one wants to watch anyone play the Cubs this year.

7. Don't you get WGN?
They air damn near every Cubs game nationally.

4. Huh? I see Mets vs. Reds and Mariners vs. Dodgers as the late game?

5. I understand your frustration. I do. They're old, popular teams.

But the world wants to see the Yanks, Sox and Cubs. Fox's playoff ratings went through the roof with those three teams in. The Mets are actually down that list.

Sorry man.

6. As a Yankee fan living in Iowa...
I have to disagree, lol. However, since I live in Iowa City IA, I get nothing but Cubs and White Sox, and so whenever it's a Chicago team on ESPN (especially in lieu of the Yankees), that's when I get pissed. I do see what you mean, though.

9. I'm pissed when ESPN
shows the White Sox vs Astros instead of the Yankees vs. Marlins. And not just anywhere, but in the NYC Metro Area. What kind of BS is that?

10. ESPN can't show a Yankees game in NYC..
or a Boston game in New England. MLB bradcasting rights stipulate that in most cases, ESPN must defer to local broadcasting (NESN, YES, Fox Sports etc) and the games are blacked out in that region. So last night, ESPN viewers in New England got a blank screen for three hours rather than the Red Sox-Mets game.
What surprised me a little was that they even blacked out the 3AM replay on ESPN2.

11. YES wasn't showing the game
Therefore ESPN was the only one showing it.
