1. Awesome feeling
That takes care of everything except hockey. Now it's the Panthers turn.

For years/decades in Miami we couldn't get an arena, let alone a team. I'm sure trumad remembers.

Winning on the road court makes it even more special, overcoming the damn 2-3-2 format.

Make sure everyone in Miami takes full advantage of the celebratory possibilities. Titles don't come around as often as you think. I'm 2500 miles removed and stuck looking at fatsos in sportsbooks.

2. It is an awesome feeling.
Horns are beeping, fireworks (gunshots?) are going off.

I'm putting my dog and my kid in the car and going to join the parade of cars driving up and down the street by my house.

Congrats to all Heat fans.

6. That's what I've been envisioning

And hearing. Horns and fireworks.

As a kid I remember it from the Dolphin glory era.

The last time was sick: when the Canes apparently won the Fiesta Bowl over Ohio St, there were brief blaring horns until the ref threw the flag and changed the outcome. I was in Miami for that and can still hear the horns outside, while we were briefly celebrating.

3. Congrats, Heat fans!!!!!
I'm more of a Dwyane Wade fan than Heat fan, but I'm impressed with the tenacity of your team and the great play of vets like 'Zo (those were some unconscious blocks!) and a newcomer like Udonis Haslem (and his sweet jumpers). All game they were patient, confident and they came together as a team at exactly the right time around their superstar.

Mavs fans, your team's great and will be right back in the thick of it next year. Avery's a class act and will be there for ya; I think he got a bit outcoached this series, but he's sharp and will lead you there. Dirk, get rough and take it to the hoop next time and you'll get there too. Congrats on a super season.

4. I'm so hyped right now.....I can't sleep.

The Dallas-Miami rivalry might go on a few years. If they both keep their players, both teams are going to be winners for a long time.

Also, as a Miami Heat fan from their first years, it's so sweet to see Zo get his title....and be extremely effective when he's in. You could see the fire in his eyes. After all he's been through with the kidney, and the heartbreaking (for me) shot by Alan Houston.....it's just great to see him get one.

7. Just came back from the Grove
People are dancing in the streets, horns are blowing, people hanging out their windows. It's a great atmosphere.

An amazing game. Especially how slow the Heat started.

And who was it that said that Dwayne Wade never smiles?

10. Yes they were...
...even the "ball-hogging megastars" (as the bitter Pistons fans refer to them) get the hang of the "team" thing well enough to win championships.
