A concept which may be lost on New England Patriot Fans
I was passively watching the Orange Bowl and heard that a VA Tech running back had to sit out the first quarter because he previously did something WRONG. Apparently he was a good player and his absence hurt his TEAM. So, in the case of the Orange Bowl this year, actions resulted in consequences. I'm trying to stick with my resolution of being nice in 08 but surely telling the truth does not constitute not being nice, does it?

1. Oh, I thought you were going to comment on how Kansas
didn't go for the touchdown in the last few seconds but took a knee instead. ;)

I saw two classy teams out there tonight!

2. I was hoping they went for that TD
but I ain't the coach. Jayhawks done good and the Hokies played a heckuva game.

3. Bellichik Was Punished
Bill Bellichik and the New England Patriots were punished. After the punishment many people moved on, some did not. Bill Bellichik was fined $500,000. The New England Patriots were fined also and were forced to give up a draft pick. What more do people want? Even if Bellichik would been punished by having the win against the New York Jets taken away the team still most likely would have gone 15-1. If Bellichik would have been punished by having the win in the Jets game taken away and then having to sit for a second game the team most likely would have gone 14-2. In addition, since Bellichik is the coach and not a player it is very possible that Bellichik could have/would have just written up all the plays for whoever was going to coach the game. Therefore, he would have still coached a game even thought he was not supposed to be giving the plays. Furthermore, I guess Kansas somewhat had to bench the player for a time in that they could not have fined him since he was not making any money. Finally, the New England Patriots and Bill Bellichik were punished and I contend people need to just move on.

4. Give up the other draft pick?
Just an idea...

6. Hell,
Even if the Pats had forfeited the Jets game AND Belichick had been suspended for 4 games, he would have missed SD, Buffalo, Cincy and Cleveland. If the Pats beat SD OR won 2 of the other three games, they'd still be sitting on their ass enjoying a bye week right now and even if they had they lost all 4 (to go 11-5 losing the H2H tiebreaker to SD), they'd be still be hosting the Titans this weekend as the #3 seed in the AFC.

5. Harrison was suspended for the first four games for doing something wrong.
So, actions resulted in consequences then, too.

7. Dear Pat haters,
WE GET IT. YOU HATE BILL BELICHICK, TOM BRADY, AND THINK THE TEAM IS THE COLLECTIVE ANTICHRIST. GIVE IT A REST.

The fact is that the team, nor its fans, have any control over the slobbering ESPN commentators. A lot of fans here are as sick of the constant coverage as you are. Please realize this, as I am sure that Patriots fans here are sick of reading the same recycled crap week after week.

Much love,
Arkana

8. It's no use, Arkana
Some people won't be happy until Belichick hangs or something.

9. I've yet to ask you...
...what, in your opinion, would have been the proper punishment to levy back in September?

I'll probably agree with whatever you say, but I'm curious. $750,000 and a draft pick is what happened. What should have happened?

Thanks for answering.
