The NY Times has not apologized to the Pats for publishing this story
I know other viewpoints (get it, like a viewfinder) aren't sposed to be published on the fact that the Pats and their coach are cheaters but what the hell:

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/16/sports/football/16walsh.html?_r=1&th&emc=th&oref=slogin

PS - The Patriots mean absolutely nothing to me, but cheaters piss me off intently.

1. Good For Him
Goodell is trying to cover for them. If the full scope of this became public, he thinks it would ruin the NFL. He wants this story to die BAD.

2. And why should they...
The story doesn't contain anything that hasn't been known for the last 6 months, nor does it appear that they printed an allegation that they have, by their own admission, no evidence to support.

3. As long as
The Patriots are not punished in any way is all that matters. I kinda guessed different eyes would see the story in different ways. Nothing to see here non-Patriot fans just move along.

4. I guess I misunderstood your post
I thought your comments were based on how the Boston Herald apologized for printing a story they had no evidence to support.

5. All my fault
I failed at communication. I was attempting to tie my subject line into an earlier one. The NYT story was the one I was referring to.

6. I thought you were making a sarcastic comment
by suggesting that while both the Herald and NYT printed stories not favorable to the Pats, at least the NYT had the guts not to apologize for it's article. I guess I read too much into it.
