9. I think we steal either game 1 or 2,
and with that I agree, Pens in 6.

2. Red Wings In 6
The Pens will have their day, but it's easy to forget they're still incredibly young and inexperienced. The Wings have been here before and are extremely playoff-tested. But if this were next year's finals, I'd pick the Pens.

4. I don't want to predict!
I'm too nervous!

I'm just glad Babcock took my advice and switched goalies.

6. And what other tips do you have for coach Babcock?
:silly:

I hope it's a fun series to watch because this past playoff season has been rather bland - some upsets but no serious drama. :boring:

8. Sorry, I can't tell you in case you report it to the Pens!
LOL, just kidding. I would advice him to limit Chelios' minutes and not let him play tired at the end of the game - too many giveaways.

5. Penguins in six
I know the Wings will be favored and have the home ice advantage, but the Pens have proved these playoffs that they're more than just Crosby and Malkin.

7. Yes but they played lame teams to get there
I'm a huge Prince of Wales (Eastern) Conference fan, so it would be great if Pittsburgh won. Plus, it would really make my brother-in-law happy...

Unfortunately, I think the Campbell (Western) Conference is much stronger. Before the playoffs even started I felt that the West had four teams (Red Wings, Ducks, Stars, Sharks) that could beat any team in the East. Detroit has been killing everyone all season long and they made Dallas look like high school kids in the Conference finals!

All I want is good hockey, a 7 game series, with it not being settled until the 19th minute of the 6th overtime... I get so bummed when it all ends. And if Pittsburgh wins, it'll be as fun as watching the Giants upset the Patriots in Super Bowl XLII.

12. Sharks fan myself
Actually I'm still in mourning over the second round loss to the Stars. I thought this might be the year, 3 out of 4 losses to Dallas went to OT including the 4 OT game 6 clincher. A bounce here a bounce there and it would have been the Sharks up against the Red Wings and who knows, maybe they would be getting ready to face the Pens.

Anyway, this should be a great series, I haven't looked forward to a finals like this in quite awhile.

21. Is this what is referred to as gloating?
I have to admit though, you seem to have hit it exactly, I'd be very surprised if this didn't end Monday. It's too bad, I was hoping for a much longer and more exciting series.

23. Not gloating, empirical observations.
:-)

Hopefully we will see a rematch of these two teams next year.

14. Prediction? Hockey is BACK!
And just in the nick of time! It's been, what, six years since the interloper warm-weather teams have been kept out of the Cup finals? You KNOW it's been bad when the lockout was a better outcome than the horror that followed it... :grr: :banghead:

P.S. Karmanos Sucks!

16. After watching tonight's domination over the Pens,
the Red Wings may just SWEEP.
The Penguins have not faced a team that can control the puck like the Wings.
They look OK but definitely not ready for the level the Wings are bringing.
Maybe next year Pens!

17. Wow, is the NHL still around?
I don't think I heard one report on the NHL Play-offs this year.

O.K., what the heck, I'll take the skating birds in 6.

Btw, who are the Canadian fans gonna cheer for this year?

19. I agree - Detroit in no more than 5.
Which would mean that Pittsburg wouldn't do as well against Detroit as Nashville did....(Here's hoping that the Preds management is smart enough to do whatever it takes to keep Dan Ellis, who is the reason we did as well as we did at the end of the season.)
