1. It's all about answers to match-up questions...
Will Parker dominate Fisher as expected?

Can Ginobli's offense put enough pressure on Kobe's defense?

Can LA limit Duncan?

2. And keep on going

'til you get to the middle of the desert without any water.

Then stop.

edit: Kobe may be a douche, but to my knowledge he never cold-cocked a guy (i.e. David West) in the middle of the court.

3. Um...remember his suspension for throwing elbows?
He claimed it was part of the follow through on his jumpshot. The knot on Manu Ginobili's head said otherwise. He knocked some other guy in the face, too.

4. Well, sure, but did the victims actually hit the deck writhing in pain?
Moreover, since Ginobili was among the victims, it clearly didn't affect the outcome like the Whore-y/West play did.

I'll be watching hockey the next couple of weeks. :eyes:

5. I can't win against Spur-haters.
I'll just wish you enjoyment while you watch your hockey.

Hell, even I'm watching Top Chef. I get irrational when I watch the Spurs.

6. The Lakers will win
Kobe is just unstoppable. I don't see any defender preventing him from stealing the show.

7. One person teams almost always lose...
If the Spurs reduce LA to that, it's over for LA.

8. Well, I'm Just Sayin'
I know holding serve in the playoffs is not really a big deal, but;

a) they didn't turn them into a one man team;
b) Kobe isn't why they won that game, defensive pressure by the whole team was;
c) Pao Gasol is an All Star. Two all stars on one team does not a one man team make.

Now, i really like Duncan and Genobili. (Tony P is ok too, but i'm not as impressed with him as with the other two.)

But, they don't have the bench the Lakers have. And i noticed in the 80's and 90's that the superior bench will be good for at least one game per series. Look at the Showtime Lakers, the 80's Celtics, the Isaiah/Dumars Pistons, the Bulls, the Rockets. All those teams won at least one game per series (well maybe not in the 1st round where the teams are pretty far apart in talent) for each championship.

I will tend to favor the team with the better bench, because of that.

10. Poor Spurs Bench On Display Friday
The poor play of the Spurs bench was on display Friday night. I watched the game from the 3rd quarter to the end. Things did not look good for the Spurs. Maybe the bench of the Spurs just did not care since they were being beaten by 20+ points, but they (Spurs bench) did not make a large amount of shots near the end of the game. On the other hand, the Lakers bench made a great deal of there last shots. A number of Lakers bench members were making three pointers at the end of the game. The Spurs really need to try to get a better bench so that near the end of games they still have a chance. I am actually rooting more for the Lakers, although I would not mind if the Spurs advanced.

...I don't like him either, but apparently he really is the franchise now.

12. The Lakers will win the series
Hopefully the Spurs will show up to play and make it a series because the last game was pathetic on the Spurs part.

Anyhow the Lakers have not had a great offensive game yet against the Spurs yet and that should scare them a little. When both Kobe and Gasol are on their A game together the Spurs will be in even worse condition they are in now. They desparately need one of their guys to rough up Kobe because he's destroying them with little effort.
